137" Rear Skid Upper Wheel Removal

I have the rear skid out for pre season maintenance. I have a rough turning torque link wheel. Tried getting the snap ring off towards the inside so to pop the seal and try to get some grease in the bearing. But no go on the snap ring, so the wheel has to come off. Looked on you tube but nothing on the upper wheel removal. I have a 3 leg puller but I'd be pulling on the outer part of the wheel. Any tips or info would be helpful!!! Thank's ;)!
 

Good LUCK. Pretty sure when I did mine I just put new wheels and bearings in.. I believe I pulled the wheels(damaging them) and ended up with just the bearing. Then removed bearing and started fresh.. Maybe someone has a better technique
 
Spray with penetrating oil then tap the inner race with a large flathead screwdriver alternating the side of impact. Don't be afraid to hit it, She'll come off
 
What he said ^^^ but I get pretty aggressive. Lol . Never wrecked a wheel but the bearing is usually supremely messed up.
 
I used a 3 arm puller. Had to turn a plug to go into the end of the arm tube for the puller to push against. Cut a round steel plate the size of the wheel with a slot in it to go behind the wheel . The arms of the puller grab the plate on the OD and pull the wheel off with out damage. I use a threaded rod thru the arm tube with nuts, washers and a sleeve that pushes on the inner race of the wheel bearing to push the wheels back on. I think I cut a short piece of pipe and squared the ends off for the sleeve

Some guys pull inner circlip out, slide/pull plastic wheel off bearing leaving bearing on shaft. Use 3-jaw puller with a solid flat plate on end of shaft to pull bearing.
 
I put a big crescent wrench behind the wheel and then tighten up the wrench and beat that wheel off. Once wheel is off I sand the shaft that it goes on so it will go on and off easier. Done that the last three years and no problems.

This is what I did. Kinda banged up the wheels doing so. But yes this is what I see
 
Al good ways to remove guys. I never had any damage to the inner race using the screwdriver technique. Just re-packed the bearings and back on they went.
 
I tried too remove the circlip with a conventional circlip tool with no luck. If I had the 90 degree tips it would be very easy.
 
Thanks for the info guy's. My clips face inwards, I have a 90* snap ring pliers. I can get the snap ring to compress but pops off trying to pull it inwards. I sprayed both sides with PB Blaster, so I work at it tomorrow. Once I get them off they'll be going back on with the clips facing out. Then just pop the clip, seal and grease.
 
Bought the wheel puller from AC many, many moons ago. One of the best purchases I made. Price is probably stupid for it now!
 
I got the wheels off today, used a small pry bar. Turned the skid on its side, put the edge of the pry bar on the inner race and give it a couple of good hits with a BFH and they pop'd right off. Re greased and installed with the clips facing out. Next year should be a non issue! Thank's again for all the tips! ;)!
