You'd get no benefit with studs shorter than the track lugs. The picks need to be able to scrape the slippery surface to add any traction so if the lugs hold them up off of the surface they can't scrape. You could probably add the minimum stud size/penetration depth for your track and not have...
I have about 1200 miles on my Ice Cobra 1.6. I like the track and it gives me enough traction to feel safe on icy trails. That being said, I thought long and hard this year about going to a Ripsaw II 1.5 with studs because I miss the pull that my studded Apex had. Although I also had pullouts...
Quote from website: "Comes with everything you need—Heavy Hitter adjustable flyweights, secondary spring, glide washers, clutch holder, all for only $299"
Ok, that's a little confusing as on their website under the V-58 description it says it comes with a secondary spring and makes no mention of a primary spring unless I'm missing something.
Most critical parts I'm aware of are the front cross shaft and the center shock axle-shaft. These are the part numbers, arctic cat numbers for the RR parts you need for these upgrades. (courtesy of Cannondale in other post)
8408-051=Bolts 2 needed
3604-791=Bushing 2 needed

Thanks Cannondale, I found your post in the viper section with the part numbers and ordered that stuff up. Now I'll finally have the RR suspension that I paid for when I spring ordered this LE.
You may not have any issues at all. A lot of us (myself included) put over 1000 miles on last year on our 2017 'winders with no belt issues whatsoever.
From what I'm seeing though, this thunder products spring is very cheap insurance to guarantee you don't have any secondary spring issues.
Can't wait to hear how this goes Knapp, I have a CVtech on my Can-am Outlander 1000 Max and it works great with a similar simple design. If it quiets the rattle down as well that would be awesome.
Sidewinder is a nice sled but in my opinion a nytro with a front end kit and a turbo or supercharger is a ton of fun, has amazing power, and rides decent. Is the sidewinder a better sled? yeah, but is the upgrade worth that amount of money? In my opinion no. I love the seating position on...
1200+ U.P. miles on my ice cobra and am very happy with the track and it still looks to be in great condition. Can definitely feel the studs helping with traction on ice trails/roads when you let off the throttle when feeling a skid occuring. Straightens you right out. Deeper lugs give great...
