Directly from my dealer for Arctic Cat. It's not advertised per say but dealers know pricing.
Nothing on Yamaha yet but am just speculating an increase based on what I have seem from Cat and from the 2 other manufacturers. I will be shocked if Yamaha has same pricing as last year.
Yup! Up in Canada, base price for t-cat is now $25,999. It comes standard with atac/iqs and EPS. Thats the only tcat, so kind of like an SRX has no options either. IN 2022, those were both options for tcat.
I think I will try and find a 2022 EPS sled in either yamaha or cat. I have a feeling...
So another year has passed and am curious if any other reviews or feedback on these 146 sleds. Are the trail manners really compromised compared to a 137? Top speed much lower (or high speed sustained 80mph trails)?
I believe 2023 will be available with power steering which is even more...

Looks like a new front end for at least the mountain segment.
Upper control arms and spindles are different.
Gauge looks to be the same!
I have some questions about the King Air. I understand how it will soak anything up as far as bumps with ride compliance. Will the limiting factor be the front end at this point then?
Like if you are hitting a mogulled out section, does it transfer enough to lift the front end and skip over the...
I had an STM on my 1100 turbo and also experienced the same cracking. Needed to replace it. Also had to replace bushings every year on the sheaves.
My Team secondary has been way more reliable on my xf9000 surprisingly! 18000kms trouble free at 270hp.
If I wanted an aftermarket secondary again...
As mentioned above, go with the 1.5" Ripsaw 2. By far the most durable track. Cobras are single ply and a storm isnt much better. I found the 1.5" ripsaw to be almost as good as a 1.75" backcountry. You will feel like you gained 100hp! Traction is unbelievable.
Also depends on riding area...
Agreed! I have seen some high mileage sleds over 20,000kms and the shaft was finished. Never once did it leave that rider stranded. I've yet to see the bearing fail.
I see the top gear as a much bigger issue since that will definitely leave you stranded with no forward motion.
Just had a similar issue on a 2021 T-cat. With the Hood off and disconnected, it was still blowing the fuse. It was a wire rubbing on one of the frame tubes in the engine compartment on the left upper side if sitting on the sled. Pull off the zip ties holding the main harness to the frame and...
Almost all my rivets were loose under the tank. I replaced them with stainless steel and hope they last longer. The rivets on the running boards also get loose too. I must have replaced at least 50 rivets on the sled. Every sled I have looked at has loose rivets. My tunnel was pushed in...
The Cat RR has all four kashimas. Plus upgraded cross shaft, rotor etc that all the sidewinder guys want. Its too bad last year for the 9000RR was 2019. It was the best yamacat out there!
I think it depends on the riding you do. As the OP mentioned, he was up in Northern Quebec, -38C and saddlebagging. That's where I ride and type of riding I do.
If you're a lake racer and never bring anything with you, then it makes sense to get every possible weight savings, so maybe a more...
I have never seen lithium batteries work well in the cold. They ALL do this. Its just not worth the minimal weight saving you get from it. I saddle bag too, and always have gas, gear and stuff on the back. I couldnt care less that a batteries weighs a few pounds less. I need reliability and the...
Looks like a ton of work! I wish Cat made that sled too.
Although wouldnt it have been easier to just swap a 146 skid/track into a ZR9000? Everything else is the same.
Cat actually did make a similar sled. The 2018 Crosstour had a 146 coupled skid.
@STAIN I am very curious about your setup with the 2 per bar as you mention. I have a 1.5 track as well and want just a little bit more ice traction but dont want to compromise trail handling and good hook-up this ripsawII already has. What length of Roetins? All singles?
AS mentioned, they are highly regarded in the Seadoo world which is arguably much bigger than the sled world! RIVA uses their stuff. They haven't broken into the North American market for 998s yet, but it peaked my interest a few years ago when I was contemplating a device that could tune both...
Bringing this back up to the top!
I currently have Stock Muffler MS16 and have been thinking of upgrading to MS17 and a stock modified exhaust to go with it. Apprehensive about noise and tickets but would make it stealth. But am now wondering if its worth the trouble and expense after reading...
Totally agree with this statement. Most sidewinder I see or ride with have clutch issues. Breaking secondary springs is top on the list. I haven't had issues with Cat clutches and lots of mileage. The cat clutches are snappier and dont have any belt issues either.(Have had 8 cats in our group...
Agreed on everything that has been said here with Cat vs winder clutching. Tuned cats with the team clutches have a lot more pull and responsiveness than winders. I haven't had any issues with the cat clutches. Have 17000kms now. I changed the primary for preventative maintenance at 14000. It...
