Love it. Please report later in year. Ordered Backcountry 850 due to riding style change but I can hardly imagine giving up my 998 T. Sled hasnt been delivered so my Winder is patiently waiting to be ridden this season.

Called around to 8 states to find a 2021 or 2022 xtx le, nothing so grabbed a riot 6000 to convert. Like you i even checked with other brands, but in the end i knew only yamaha power would do, enjoy your winter!Love it. Please report later in year. Looks like a ton of work! I wish Cat made that sled too.
Although wouldnt it have been easier to just swap a 146 skid/track into a ZR9000? Everything else is the same.
Cat actually did make a similar sled. The 2018 Crosstour had a 146 coupled skid.

A few people said the same to me, why not just extend the skid, i like the road less traveled and the challenge to see if possible. On the bright side i have one of one! Plus i put all the pulled off parts on my 2018 zr9000 and sold it as a zr6000, got to play and recoupe some of my investment.

500 miles of perma grin to report, this sled is exactly what it says a RIOT!! The 146 uncoupled skid is pure delight on the trails, studder bumps, mogols no problem, realy dont know how good this sled is until i climb aboard my little rtx 129 inch, same trails same day...the 129 pounds the piss out of ya! See a knoll you want to launch off no problem, roll into the hurricane high elevation header tunes of 240,275, or 300 and you be the judge of how high the ski tips rise!! Had to adjust on the tapp primary some, pulled the plus one rollers and replaced with std, pulled stk blue spring in with blk spring, added four allen bolts, clickers on #3 for 275hp, #4 for 240hp, 300hp well i will save that for next januarys radar run. Corners as well as my thundercat did(2018) just a real fun sled, was well worth the time and effort to build, on the fence about a xtx 146 dont be..go for it..miles of smiles!!!

My little 146 xtx se went to the mountains this year with the eco-trail tune sm, went where ever the polaris rmk went! Could have done a little better I think, didn't realize that it had another hole to go on the limiter strap

I sure hope so, only one cat with the 998t is BS!!! I dont favor one over the other, (cat or yamaha) my local dealer sells both on site, been buying cat only because they are cheaper model for model by me. Its a no brainer to build a riot 9000, they kinda already do...xtx le&se, happy trails to all!!My cat guy says that we will see a 146 Riot 9000 in 23'

If I could get an eps xtx, I'd be all over that. Just got done a pretty extreme back country ride and man my arms are tired, saving my energy just that little bit would sure be a huge thing.

Another hundred on the riot today, my only issue so far is the 2ply 1.6 cobra track, way to soft a rubber compound for this power levels, 766 miles on it and the lugs are folding over and rapidly wearing the lugs down!! Im sure was more than good enough for the arsh rippin stk 125hp 600 cc's!! I also would be all over a riot 9000 or xtx with power steering, could run way more aggresive skis and runners.
