They now COME stock with 9 tooth drivers, its only the XRS850 turbo that has that driver. No swapping needed...
For the record, I love my Yamacat and dont have one of those 850 turbos, I just hate seeing misinformation.
That report on clearance is false...go look on Dootalk. They added clearance at the front of the bulkhead to be able to run the 9 tooth driver, one guy swapped in a 1.5 rip2 with 1.575 studs at the dealer - this was dealer recommended and installed. 68Gmc is doing even longer studs (he has...
They will push, that's what I had on my 22LTX which started me to write this thread in the first place. The 5.7R or 6.9 worked better with single carbides and navigators.
I'm not sure the weight savings is worth it. I rode a 141 for years and the ride is horrendous. I tried all spring combos on coilover shocks, did Fox floats (revalved, added reservoirs etc), also did the Hygear linkage kit etc. I think I would sooner a sled weigh 100 lbs more and have a nicer...
I am looking for sources or kits for bushing kits for the front Fox Qs3r shocks. Piecing them out online OEM parts (sleeves, bushings, collars) is like $144 USD per shock which I find absurd!
There must be a complete kit somewhere for this. Shocks are in good shape but I have play in these...
I have both of those sleds right now and will try that swap to see what happens (a 22 EPS non-smart shock sled and a 19 non-smart shock sled). They are in storage but I'm curious to see if it will work too!
To me its the complete opposite! A new EPS sled is now $27k canadian. When the first EPS sled came out in 2022, it was $21k plus tax. By my calculations, that's about $10k difference to having an older sled and then upgrading to EPS. The cost for a factory EPS is roughly the same as the GSE kit...
Was the 22 ECU a non-Atac ECU? Am surprised that a 19 gauge wouldnt work with a 22 non-attac ECU. What wasnt working correctly? Still exploring this option.
I would have a close look at the main wire harness on the frame beside the airbox. I know you didnt go near there but it could be a coincidence you changed actuator and this started happening. I had 2 different sidewinders with issues like that and it was always a wire rubbing the frame that...
THIS!
Even though Suzuki no longer supplies the engines for early procross, its still really easy to get parts for them from Arctic Cat. Yamaha exiting doesnt bother me at all, I was always a Cat guy and had an 1100 before the 998. I actually prefer the cat clutching on the 998 so its moot that...
It's an interesting way to deal with the driveshaft issue. It adds a 2nd bearing and re-inforces the tunnel at the same time. Ron's point of view is that the chaincase side bearing has the same slip fit as the brake-side yet never has an issue with spinning because its always in oil. His second...
Still waiting for someone to weigh a 900R....I think doo people are afraid to knowing the outcome is probably not what they want. I'd say the lightest sidewinders would be the XTX SE 141 with uncoupled ski. I bet those are below 650lbs full of fluids.
This was eye-opening to say the least! Would have loved to see the 900R getting weighed since everyone jumps ship to doo for the supposed 'lighter 4stroke'. I'm now sure that the sidewinder would be lighter than any 4 stroke offering from Doo after seeing this. I was shocked to see the 21lbs...
I don’t think it’s terribly hard, it’s more the initial outlay for the filling station and then sourcing the parts needed. ($250 seems too cheap!) If you are rebuilding every year or even doing some friend’s then it may be worth it!
Most ‘rebuilds’ are just changing out shock oil and seals so...
I think it still does mean something, I doubt people would have more extensive idle time, that part would be equal for all. They can only idle so long before overheating. I would assume everyone let’s their sled warm up and cool down, so those hours would be constant. The number that is...
Be prepared for more lugs tearing out. My hurricane track was missing tons of lugs by the time I hit 1500miles and ended up swapping it out because it was vibrating so much. Just not a durable track. It didn’t blow though
I’m at 61km/hr (38mph) over a 21000kms lifetime ownership. I can take pics of gauge to prove too.
My 2022 I just sold was at 63km/hr over 4000kms.
From what I have seen, they vary a LOT from sled to sled.
My buddy is at 48km/hr.
As others have mentioned this suspension is ‘reactive’ and can’t predict what the next bump will be, speed will be, corner will be. It’s as good as the data it has and is not predictive. A well setup traditional suspension will be miles ahead.
Accelerated technologies has also recently done...
Has pricing been released yet? Do the dealers know or are they just taking deposits regardless? Sounds like some dealers are already sold out of their allocations (Canada).
