    Need rail info please

On the uncoupled rear skids, the difference in length between the 141", 153" and 162" rails is in the length behind the rear arm mounting point. They did change the rails ahead of that point through out the various years though. As long as you stick with the same year (2014) rail, you should be...

    Fuel Hydro-Locked Engine

That would be my guess as well. If it was hydro-locked due to oil, there should be a fairly oily mess left over from when you pulled the plugs and turned it over. If it was fuel, then most of it should have evaporated, leaving behind only a light oily residue.

    Fuel Hydro-Locked Engine

Yeah, I was thinking the same thing. Unless it has an ECU or wiring issue that is commanding the injectors to be open when the key is turned on. It would be easy to test for this though by disconnecting the injectors, then connect a noid or test light to injector connector and turn the key on...

    Fuel Hydro-Locked Engine

Was there fuel coming out from all of the spark plug holes or just one cylinder?

So. Whats in those backpacks that everyone is wearing?

Usually lunch, bottled water, first aid kit, hand warmers, fire starter, dry gloves in a zip lock bag, toilet paper also in a zip lock bag;), Avy probe, shovel, extra 2 way radio and a length of rope. I'm a mountain rider so these are items that you want to have on your person, just in case you...

Getting rid of the roll over valve

No there is no need to prime the pump when changing the oil and filter. This is because the oil pump still has oil in it and it will self prime.;)! Typically the only time you may need to re-prime an oil pump, is if it has drawn in air and lost oil pressure. For example if you lay the sled...

Getting rid of the roll over valve

Excessive tank back pressure is far worse then to little breather pressure and it is excessive tank vent back pressure that can cause oil leaks. When I measured the oil tank vent back pressure on a new (0 miles on the sled) King Cat it was averaging around 1 to 1.5 psi. While a Viper and Nytro...

Getting rid of the roll over valve

Guys, I urge you to take a step back and think about why the factory uses a 5/8" vent line in the first place! It's because there is a LARGE volume of air flow at higher RPM! What you feel flowing out of the oil tank at idle is only a fraction of what the flow is at 9000 RPM! If the engineers...

New Sidewinder roll over valve kits!

I have been receiving quite a few requests to build a ROV kit for the Sidewinder. With that in mind, we have designed a ROV kit for the Sidewinder that replaces the normally closed OEM check valve with a normally open system similar to our Viper ROV kits. Just like our Viper ROV kit, the...

    Seen this before...?

Yes, they came with the 40/60 amp relay. The system doesn't draw anywhere near that though, so I usually will recommend a lower amp one. Higher amp relays require a higher current draw to "burn the contacts" clean. If a lower current draw is fed through a high amp relay contact, there is not...

    Seen this before...?

I believe that is a roll over valve relay. Judging by your pic, it looks like the sled has a Yamaha accessory ROV kit that was made by MPI several years ago. It's different from the ROV kits that I make, but if you suspect that relay is bad it can be replaced with a Bosch unit from any auto...

    Oil pump priming

parepadarappa, I realize that your looking for a low cost solution, but using the ROV for re-prime is really fast and easy. Just put the sled back to rubber side down, push and hold the quick prime button while starting the engine. As soon as the oil light goes out (usually just a couple of...

    Japan Throttle Lever Conversion

Allan, I put one on my 7000 and it fit my hand better. The thumb warmer works a LOT better with Roc's box on it, that sucker will get down right HOT on high! LOL I did notice the throttle effort was slightly higher, but I never did try the mod that Steve was taking about though. My situation is...
