I just got my first viper this year and truly cant believe for having 125-30 hp and clutched that its not much if any better in performance than my stock 900 ace from 0-60. This is where most riders "feel" the performance of theses two sleds. I really like my viper but its way weak on the big...
I agree on comparing some features … that said I have both sleds and have to say the 900 ace has a better all round motor and very nice ride in the renegade platform....( equal to my 137 viper at least) much more refind running qualitys and fricking smooth/quiet and great MPG.I feel its just as...
Once your repair is done remove secondary and bearing seal and flush out with WD40 and re grease after each season …. all original bearings still on my 07 apex. 20k miles...
It is amazing what can be done and is addicting .... that said if I was a big tune owner I would have to think your gona find the limits of a lot of sh(^%T on the sled that 200hp would have not hurt ( I think 200 is pushing it) .... Just my opinion that's all, Have fun and be safe with that...
I am beginning to feel the only thing left is the Yamaha name itself in hopes that the name along will somehow continue to sell a few more sleds. I don't feel they have delivered the promise of 5-6 yrs ago as all pumped up to be. The viper and sidewinder yes have been movement and proof they did...
Well, here I go Ill try to explain it. My 2016 Ltx le viper has a nasty vibe/ rattle (it sounds something like a loose clutch guard but its not) that for sure is coming from the clutch side seemingly more towards the secondary. It only shows up between 4500 and 55-5800 rpms. As soon as ya roll...
Hope this is all stuff Yamaha takes care of you quickly on! Sorta small stuff at this point but by no means acceptable! This is what I think is the dangerous slippery slope Yamaha stands on with this cat Venture.....For the price you guys pay or for that fact anyone for the top self sled in...
Hoping you are right.... Im Not Screaming about the cat venture but in some ways its been frustrating and has turned some away. I got a new viper for this year and will judge later. It would be killer to see Yamaha bust out with new all jap new chassis and power options.. It would surprise me...
I have both books and still revert back to them sometimes. contact them and I am sure they will have one. …. One of the last standing pioneers of the sport.
