    Winder top gear bushing

Ok I searched but didn't find the answer I wanted so here goes with one more gear question. When the bushing finally fails on the top gear, can a person just replace the bushing with one of the brass or bronze, whichever it is,ones?Or does the gear itself get messed up and become unusable as well?

    Studding my '19 SRX

Brand new 5/16 cutter bought from the same guy I got the studs from.I have an idea that I might try tomorrow night when I finish this project.I'll take a small piece of wood and hold it against the inside of the track and redrill the hole to see if it cuts completely.

    Studding my '19 SRX

I've got the Woodys template too but my studs are from a local guy that sells SnowStuds products, used to be Saber.I don't know what I did wrong but the cutter just didn't take all the material out from these rubber ramps.I have never had an issue like this before with the other sleds I have...

    Studding my '19 SRX

What a PIA to stud this track!!! I think they call it a silent track, with those ramps on the inside for idler wheels to ride on for noise suppression.Yeah well those ramps are not the friendliest thing to have to work with.My track drill didn't cut through them when I drilled the holes so now...

    2019 SRX paint codes

I tried their web site but they don't list this sled.

    2019 SRX paint codes

Is the blue paint used on the SRX version of the Winder the same Yamaha racing blue as the old 2 strokes? At some point the A arms on mine will need painting and I have a good code for the old 2 stroke era sleds but for whatever reason the more I look at the '19, the paint looks different...

    BOP hose protectors

I am interested in looking at these rivets though. Is this a common issue with the Winders? How many miles do you figure on the chassis before inspecting them?

    BOP hose protectors

This is the reply I got from Travis about the install. They are quite easy to install. Gas tank does not need to be removed. Just remove the screws that attach the footwell plastic and then you can gain access to the nuts on the foot well bar mounting bolt under gas tank.

    BOP hose protectors

I should have noted in my initial post that I figure on taking the skid out anyway to go over it all, but I appreciate the info on what else needs to come off or be moved.

    BOP hose protectors

How much has to be removed from the sled to put these from his guards on a '19 SRX? I have the tunnel guards too and from what I've read they need to be shortened up to fit properly with the hose guards? I'm hoping to tackle this job on the weekend and want to know what I have ahead of me before...

    Stryke or aftermarket skis?

Ok everyone.Who has swapped the Tuners off their Winder for the new Stryke skis? Would you use Pilots,C&A,SLP or other instead? For the price of them I can buy the Stryke kit quite a bit cheaper than any of the offerings from the other companies but I'd like some reviews from those that have...

Not specific enough with my dealer I guess

I'd rather not get into a finger pointing thing with dealers but I'm sure you can figure out which one is closest to me.I know a lot people have no qualms about calling out a poor dealer but I have a good rapport with a couple of the guys working there.

Not specific enough with my dealer I guess

Tom sent me the manual last year but I have since bough the paper one to have with me when working on the sled.

Not specific enough with my dealer I guess

Ok .......... Update on my thread. First time back to the dealer was today so I figured I'd corner the service manager, who also happens to be the owner, about my previous invoice.I had my questions all in my head to put forth my argument for being overcharged on the labour so I started off by...

Not specific enough with my dealer I guess

Everything else I had done to the sled was a warranty repair so I'm.going to assume the associated labour was covered too.

Not specific enough with my dealer I guess

At $98 and hour labour rate I highly doubt it took the mechanic 3 hours to remove the clutch, change the rollers then put it back on. But like I said earlier I still want to go back and get a good explanation of the charges.

Not specific enough with my dealer I guess

I dropped my sled off in September to have a couple warranty things taken care of before it expires in December. Heated thumb warmer, seat warmer and, what I thought would be covered, the secondary rollers. There was a small defect in one but I could have lived with it.I could have sworn I read on...
