    Just got back from Northern Maine and I met one of the top rated Yamaha mechanics in the US ( fifth overall) I was talking to him about the driveshaft issue and he said that its the build up of ice in the tunnel that causes the breakage!

    I was just checking on Yamaha Sports Plaza's website, comparing part numbers for driveshafts and as LB mentioned they used the same driveshaft in RX, RS, and Apex models up till 09, the Nytro I checked was different also! I wonder if the 09 Apex Driveshaft is stronger than previous models...
