OMG - that was an old post of mine. I ditched those tuners quickly. Best thing for that sled was C&A Razors with slim Jim stalky runners. But I sold that sled years ago.

I believe American Snowmobiler had wet weights posted a year or so ago comparing to a turbo Viper. Going from memory.... Viper LTX turbo wet weight = 630lbs Sidewinder LTX wet weight = 670lbs That's a 40lbs difference. Take out the 20lbs a turbo adds makes 60lbs difference. Those numbers jive...

Yamaha needs a 160-ish hp sled that weighs 100lbs less than the current Viper or Sidewinder configuration. If they can do that with a 4-stroke (and not make it uber-expensive by using a carbon fiber chassis), then great! But I don't see that happening. Yes, I have ridden sleds much lighter...

@cannondale27 - just curious. Why did you switch to the new master cylinder? Was it just for the comfort of the brake lever alone, or are there other benefits?
