I would send them a message prior, to be sure they send new stock(Timken) and not old stock which may still be out there at many places....I got a Timken by these guys even though the add still show carlisle.

Opposite experience for me.....Carlisle blew in 60 miles, New Timken so far so good at 900 miles. If you can get a couple of the old one get them all!
After seeing all the money Timken has brought to the old Carlisle plant, I see their tech just getting better going forward too.

That’s before your offset changes.
I’ve been running the older style Carlisle with 270hp and just changed it at 1000 miles as maintenance. I have 24-41 gears so it should be very hard on belts.

Dan correct me if i am wrong, but when you tried that first xs-825 your clutching was all over the place?
I did my homework december 2017 after breaking 2 X8jp an 1 X 8dn whit stock clutching . I have a trail loop ~~15miles where i did all my testing. Same day i have tested many different belt (ultimax, dayco, yamaha 8dn,8jp, and gates)
my friends was telling me, i lose my time and money..... They where running that belt whit great result on their big HP susuki sled I had to see it by myself, and they were right! Hands down the best one. Clean and really stable on RPM
When i got the "new" one last year i was wondering if they have changed something! A little less width(mean less OD) and the compound seems harder on the sheaves than the "old" one. I have around 1500-1700km on that belt

I know my setup was bad when I snapped first one. But it did snap easy.
Lots of changes since, and in my corner to corner riding I feel going back to stock gearing is one of the biggest factors. It works so much better now corner to corner with 21/41.
Not saying the Carlisle vs Timken is better or worse, just stating what happened for me....and that Timken sent me the warranty belt which caught my eye(big Timken box on my porch) last summer. Wasn't even sure what it was as it took forever to get the belt back. So I researched it some and saw that Timken has stepped in and given alot more money for belt development. I think these turbos are making these belt companies rich! LOL
I do notice lower top RPM with my ultimax then the 8Jps last season. So far Im loving this Ultimax, stock gearing,58mm offset,1mm float,setup......37/35 is awesome this year corner to corner, and updated b/o is now up to 90 degrees, but still want more engine brake/backshift. Dalton white(Cat style) has arrived, so will be testing that this coming weekend to see if I can get more backshift for corner to corner and not create too much heat. Belt and Sheaves are all immaculate clean. Man i'm so happy without that nasty 8jp mess this season.

I usually buy mine from Dennis Kirk. I also use the XS825 on my turbo Viper and have been super pleased with it. Low belt dust, good performance and they have been lasting me 2500 miles +.

Shade Tree was cheapest but I see their price has increased also. Looks like ebay wins! I hope some will bundle them at a better price. I will check and see what I paid form my 2 last year and get back to you.
