Can anyone tell me about this VIPER RTX cover? Its a deal would be hard to pass up, but Im not certain it will have the same expandable window area. It is a deluxe cover too, so I would think the window expansion would be same as the winder deluxe but not positive.
If anyone can tell me for certain this cover (SMA-COVER-86-00) has the same expanding window area, i'd really appreciate it. Pic Below.
thanks

I use my 137 viper cover and it fits with my procross handguards and my low windshield. The fabric where the windshield is stretches. In your picture, what brand hand guards do you have?
How would the cover fit with a lower SE window and hand guards?
Do you think I would need a TALL WINDOW cover to have more room for guards?
Or does the cover change heights for diff window sizes?
thanks for pic.

I guess I should have read the whole thread as I see your questions were answered.

I hear ya there...but all those early years when I had open trailers and covers, I always use a large micro fleece blanket over entire sled first, then cover it, so the cover itself never touched sled finish.
Its been since around 99 I think since I had a cover, as Ive gone to covered trailer for near 20 yrs now. But Im going to be grabbing an alum ramp for more quick weekend trips as the winters seem to be moving further north from my area. Grrrr.
Speaking of that, anyone use alum ramps with their winder? Buddy has a nice ramp but he has a lighter POO Assault, but im sure it will be fine with the winder.
Dan
i use a trifold ramp i got here at princess auto with the ski plastics installed. i use it for my sleds and atv all the time. takes the weight of my apex no problem. i added another strip of plastic for my older tss and leaf sleds as they where too narrow to ride on the factory installed ones. mine is 8' long.

Found this cover at a price I could not pass up on. Arrived yesterday and fits my winder w/SE window great, stretchy material around window and hand guards works well. Thanks everyone!
Now Im gonna wait for the ramps to go on sale next fall. Will be great for quick trips and not need to dig out trailer.

I nearly bought those last month, they were on sale. The Princess auto ramps(Erickson) are decent, and when on sale a good deal at $249(reg 379ca)i use a trifold ramp i got here at princess auto with the ski plastics installed. i use it for my sleds and atv all the time. takes the weight of my apex no problem. i added another strip of plastic for my older tss and leaf sleds as they where too narrow to ride on the factory installed ones. mine is 8' long.
I am gonna hold off til fall when Crappy tire usually puts their ramps on sale for 200ca. When converted to USD that is by far best deal on alum ramps. They are made by MAXX and very very similar overall to the Erickson ramps, but a tad cheaper when in sale. Royal also sells the MAXX ramps at a good price all the time, but still cheaper when Canadian tire does their sale.
No rush so Ill hold off for the sale. Nice for quick trips to the snow when we are low locally. Sure never used to have to do this in Muskoka(snow belt) but the way these winters are going man o man climate change sucks for sledheads!

Now that I have a SW I ventured into this dilemma myself. I sold the Attak this week and threw the Yamaha cover in with it. The only time I use a cover is when I go on trips to cover the machine outside of the places we stay over night to keep new snow off it. Otherwise the machine travels in an enclosed trailer and it's home is indoors.
I was scouring the web for SW covers, holy cow cheapest I found was around $179 free shipping. I remember finding my Yamaha Attak cover for $89 new 5 years ago. Being I really did not care if it said Yamaha or Sidewinder I started looking into universal covers but then I stumbled upon an Arctic Cat branded new one for $50 free shipping for all Procross chassis 137" or higher. I snapped that up. It's plain black with just a small AC emblem on the nose. I figured who cares.....

I have a factory winder cover that naturally fits perfect and I use for when I use an open trailer I’m interested in something like a dustcover it’s very lightweight it would go in my pack when I’m on overnight trips has anyone found something like that? Tekrider makes something that looks perfect except the price is ridiculous.

I found my Deluxe Viper cover last summer on ebay, he was asking a great price of 129....I offered him $90....I got it for $90 no tax/free ship..lolNow that I have a SW I ventured into this dilemma myself. Check out this part number as it seems there are lots around(viper) cheaper. Fit is nice for my 129 but think they have same one for 137 and like the expandable window area, which works well around my hand guards.
I had not bought a cover in 20 yrs as I have enclosed trailer, but this season got some ramps for quick trips and wanted a cover.

That's a good price, I looked for Viper covers on ebay, the best I saw at the time was around $140-150.
