What the dealer told me a couple weeks ago, was that Yamaha has a quarterly tech update and he was expecting them to add a new rear exchanger and possibly larger ones on the tunnel, so all the dealers should have recieved the Tech update, I didn't ask for all the details, I was just happy to...

rx1mtn, last spring the Yamaha northwest reps, were at the dealer when I was picking up my sled after they replaced the float bowls and they were taking to sleds out to specifictly test for overheating and what they found out was we have about 7 minutes of engine run time before the temp light...

My first time into my new enclosed trailer the ski got lassoed by the wire harness for the tail ramp I made it in the trailer but the RX didn't, Ripped the wire harness out, it didn't hurt the sled but spent the rest of the day fixing the trailer. Anyway Sportland in cle elum did my float bowls

Called my dealer in Cle Elum to order a rear heat exchanger and he told me to wait a couple more weeks, he said that Yamaha was going to have a kit coming out to help the heating problem, my light came on way to offen, I will keep my fingers crossed

My dealer did mine for free also added a carb coolant stutoff for those warm days

I had the same problem with mine, My dealer installed the new float bowls, and I also had a vapor loc problem so they installed a shutoff valve in the carb heat lines, here in washington it doesn't get very cold, if you stopped for a minute fired it up it would travel about 20 ft and die, it...
