Has anyone here done this? I may be doing it to mine, won't be able to buy a new track, but need to stop ratcheting. I have the 151" track.
My dealer uses two wood chisels. One of each appropriete size.

I hear you treewhacker. I have considered it as well but after talking to the guys at hyperfax they said I need track clips or the hyper fax will (your hifax can too) cut into the track cord. If you do it get the rub buttons used for Polaris tracks from maybe SLP.
You can punch and clip the track on your own but the tools to properly install the clips cost almost as much as having it done. Good luck buddy. I feel your pain. Powder Blue

I spoke to Bruce at tracks USA and he was going to sell the tools to do the punching and clipping yourself but the cost was going to be something on the order of $139. That's great if you and a couple buddys go together and spilit the cost and then you always have the kit but in my case I'm the only guy except maybe black sabbath or Silver streak doing this and it would be easier to just send it to Ryan at the link above.
