The thing about buying the 07 is that there's some updates that need to be done if he didn't do it. Lots written on here about that. The price does seem a bit high for the USA considering these sleds need some upgrade work, especially better skis, to make them ride better.
No, I haven't found the sweet spot on the TF - but then again I haven't tried this year. I actually find it worse handling this year but noticed after the last ride that I had the suspension block left on "S" for summer storage. My thought on this adjustment is that stiffening it up for two-up...
X2 - I also find they loose tension when you have them in the parked position - not the item they are advertised to be. I've tried both Yamaha and Slidekicks and no difference.
I have a similar design on my rails and besides the other down falls mentioned, I also noticed they collect snow and ice when in the parked position which has to cause drag especially when not on hard packed trails.
Maybe we're sweating over this reverse issue too much - maybe it's more about things being lined up for shifting to reverse. Even on my TF with manual reverse it will not always go in and I have to move it ahead slightly to be able to get it into reverse. So it seems like this type of thing is...
I haven't riden an older style RS Venture so I cannot compare the two versions. I own the Venture TF (similar to the GT) and a Venture Lite. And I must say the seating position on the TF is much lower and doesn't feel as rider forward as the VL and therefore not as much fun to drive. I find...
The lights worked fine today so it must be the relay acting up- I'll look into replacing it with the "new and improved" one
. thanks for the help everyone.
Yes, I have taken off the airbox several times for different reasons. Either here or on the Phazer section you should be able to find instructions and pictures. The procedure is not too difficult overall; just take your time and follow the step by step instructions.
I only waited for the red light to go off and put it in the shed - moved it out of the shed earlier to get out my VL and it was daylight so I didn't notice the if the lights were working. But after coming back and starting it up I was surprised with no lights.
That seems a bit weird - so are you saying after awhile running the lights come on? If that is what's happening, it sounds like a real nuisance if there is no fix.
No I haven't had a chance to do anything yet - I guess fuses would be the first place to check. To be honest, I didn't even know sleds had fuses. I'll have to get my manual and find out where the fuses are and take it from there. thanks for the response.
Hi,
I have a 2010 Venture TF and rode yesterday with no light problems. Today when I started it there was no headlight or taillight. Any idea if this is a common problem and what the likely causes could be?
thanks
