OK so THAT was a tricky one. Turns out the hose had a tiny crack in it so coolant would drip/spray and pool in the valve cover until it would run over and burn off. Wouldn't show-up at idle.
Nothing is perfect as much as I wanted it to be...The Sena 20S seems to have a bad reputation for randomly shutting off after a few minutes, seconds, etc... I missed that part. I'm hoping Sena will address the problem. Their M.O. is to replace the defective unit, but in the mean time - my...
Hmmm...No, I didn't use lube on them, but the other set I have from my Attak has a white sealant applied to the o-ring/around the tube. Makes the o-ring look more squared, and this was how it came from the factory - I thought I was being handed the wrong part at the counter.
Tried the communicators today: Worked PERFECTLY with the new FXR Torque-X (e-shield), in the short time we rode. Listened to the radio, and talked with my daughter totally hands-free, no fidgeting. Only problem I had was my heated shield cable kept hitting the phone button. The Sena 20S is...
Leaking at the coolant inlet into the valve cover. I put a new o-ring in it, buttoned it up, took off down the road and now it's leaking even worse. I know where it's leaking, I know why it's leaking, I don't know what the trick is to keep it sealed - Blue RTV? Double o-rings? Appreciate any...
Just got the Sena 20S (dual pack) $399 Motorcycle Superstore.com. My Modular 2 helmet doesn't technically have speaker "pockets" but they slip in between the liner without any severe modification - where they'll end-up is anyone's guess though. I WILL have to get a heated shield to dump the...
I'll chime-in on the glasses: There were two things I've done to eliminate fogging of glasses: (1) Eliminate the glasses by wearing contacts (2) Eliminate the problem of contacts with LASIC. I have two friends that wears glasses and the both use BV2S with great success. Having said that: One of...
About 4 years ago, I bought a pair of the Klimate gloves to use EXCLUSIVELY for snowmobiling. Well I started to notice the seams failing in the fingers, and the palms started to wear, then eventually cracked. I thought "CRAP!" Now I have to buy another pair of gloves. So I went window...
Yes, that makes sense. I put my Attak spring in the used Apex clutch I recently acquired. I had 11K on the last clutch in my Attak and it NEVER gave me a problem. I change the spring every other season though.
I can't say on the Kimpex but I did use the Nylatrons for about 7K miles. They remained intact and didn't wear-out but they are slightly more than OEM, and less than Oilites.
Just put an Ice Ripper on mine. I HATE studs and the damage they can do - hopefully, this will not be an issue with this track. I haven't rode it yet so I'm hopeful.
Are these the grooves that some people have "cut-down" so the clutch can close more to gain a little more Top-end? At 2500 miles my new clutch has the same thing.
240+ here. X2 on the bigger spring and revalve. I have the GT (EC), but I rode a stock '08 LTX and had to crawl over some moguls for fear of breaking the skid. Ditto on minimal transfer (if you want to keep the skis down and be able to turn) you won't win many drag races, but you'll be able to...
You wanna be pro-active: Change the drive axle bearing. GET THE Oil-lites and a Bulkhead saver. Slides are easier to change than a worn-out Bulkhead. 4th wheel kit if you like ditches/jumping your Apex.
