a "bar" used in determining pressure is the standard pressure (in pounds per square inch) at sea level above an absolute vacuum. 1 bar = 14.7 PSI therefore 14.7 x 1.3 = 19.1
Nordik, Just for the hell of it, try running your track tighter and see how much drag you get. I know most people will not agree with that thinking but, if the track is real loose the pressure from the snow causes the closed portion of the track to come in contact with the hyfax. I believe...
Also check the choke and make sure it is going to the completely off position. There have been some reports of the choke hanging up and not going completely off.
Rail profile at the bottom is the same as the earlier models. Some people have noticed less wear when they switched to the older narrower style. If you look at the wider hyfax, it completely blocks the narrow window used on the 3rd window closed tracks.

Your Dad is half right because he said the clutches are both engaged fully for top speed. BUT thats not the way they come in the real world, most sleds out there are geared higher than they can actually go. They just don't have enough horsepower. The turbo supplies the horsepower to fully...
Could the wear problem be caused by a small window in the track and the new wider hyfax blocking the opening ? BIG BLACK WARRIOR might have the answer if the older narrower hyfax fit.
