I had them mounted on my skis and went over a rail road bridge. Both got ripped right off. Thank god I had Barn of Parts breakaway brackets or would have likely had ski damage. I’ll never run them on skis again.
Go with that spot next to chaincase as mentioned above. Takes about two minutes and your done and have the Yamaha harness. There is a wire there with a capped off plug end.
That clutch play is like mine. Haven’t had a problem. We run our chains a bit tighter than spec for the sled recommendation and no issues. Same for the track. On the tight side. Pretty much stock sled.
We have used a winch like Scooter. Comes off easy but man do I battle getting it back in. Must be some tricks I haven't tried yet. What are they...............besides a 6pack lol.

Dealer claimed the caliper held to much heat and it ruins the seals. He said he wouldn’t replace the seals because it’s not worth the effort. Better to replace caliper. Sounded fine to me!
When I had mine done I got new axel with the cogs on it. Got bearings at both ends. Got new caliper and brake pads. Chaincase oil. Crank case oil and filter. I paid $0
