The main body of the valve is about the size of a raquet ball? It measures 2 1/2" tall from the lock ring to the top of the body, and roughly 3 3/8" with a 90 degree fitting on it (not counting the mounting fitting), so they're not very big. I just messed around with an MPI kit this weekend that...
That's been an issue for a few other on here before, but glad you found it!
I added an extra layer of the plastic wire loom on mine in that area and taped it in so it doesn't show. it's also been posted here before of the same issue happening where the harness passes the steering blocks on the...
Check to be sure your throttle cable is seated in the cam properly and that the throttle blades are completely CLOSED at idle. They're not like a car where they are cracked open at all to allow idle air, that's what the valve is for.
They do run a bit richer than an auto engine as well, so any...
Beyond the overheating issues, which if you were running in conditions that could have made it overheat, I wouldn't rule out the possibility of it not actually overheating but if the short was causing something in the wiring to display it.
If it was overheated, check the oil for signs of...
Does anyone know if the lake ice has been affecting snow for the Munising area yet? I looked at an ice coverage map on NOAA and it looks as if most of the lake has ice coverage now. The last time I know if that it froze over completely, the riding went to #@ll pretty quickly..
In low snow on my Apex, I pull over and pile as much snow on my running boards as possible so it melts down onto the coolers. Works good to keep the motor safe, but doesn't help the slides obviously.

If you're only running a stage1 and slipping your drivers, I'm wondering if you have something else going on with your rear suspension that would cause that to happen so quickly? I don't know much of anything about the ZX2, but I wouldn't...
Might be worth selling the Nytro motor and getting an Apex motor.. Sure, most of the stuff would work, but in the end, it's likely more hasstle than it'd be worth. I would guess the motors would be worth about the same ammount, you could probably end up with the 4cyl for little to no extra $$.
I'm more interested in what one would run at idle and part throttle cruise, which I'm guessing that you might not have been too concerned about that on the track...?
Carbs on anything are notoriously rich on decel. Sounds like you're just pig rich during decel, which ends up cooling the plugs down too much, causing the issue. BOV would help for sure, but a vacuum operated valve that opens when you have a vacuum signal behind the carbs would probably do the...

I've started mine before with a straight pipe, and it's ear-bleeding loud, and not in a good way.. Lol
I'd suggest a tunnel block off plate to cover what you can to help with ice build-up. I've seen posts over the last few seasons of...
I know it sounds like a dumb question, but has anyone ever had a wideband on a naturally aspirated sled? I'm working on tuning a different kind of control box than usually used on a sled, but I thought it'd be nice to have some N/A numbers to reference to? I'd mainly like to know what they...
In case you don't have the manual, here's the link. I'm sure that it's got to be a simple issue, and once it's figured out will be just fine.

I run both AEM and Innovate gauges on my sleds, and can't say I'm partial to either one, except my Innovate has a needle instead of digital which makes it seem easier to read instead of the numbers jumping around alot.
If I remember right, a power issue will cause it to read full lean, or...
They don't have a fouling issue like other engines have, but what everyone is referring to is a "cold foul" condition. It happens if you start your sled briefly and shut if off too many times, without letting it completely warm up. The engine will be adding additional fuel when it's cold (just...
Just use good oil and do what you said you did, yank the tether as fast as you can when you run into that situation.
Even thought they are a dry sump system, there is still a small amount of oil within the oil pan that that will flow back into the engine if it's over far enough, otherwise...
