I got a chance to look over the New CFmoto machines. I was totally bummed that they scrapped the SXS test track for a pit area for the mud runs. That being said, the mud runs were fun to watch and drew bigger crowds than the grass drags.
BTW, the 2025's will be on display at Haydays tomorrow. It would be cool if they were in the test drive fleet, but I doubt that will happen. I would like to drive the new Xpedition, Maverick R, and possibly the Ranger XD.
I watched the dealer show live streamed and have also watched a number of youtube influencers with their reports from the show here in MN. As well as their test drive days here as well.
No it is not a Yamaha engine, and yes it is tuned to a safe level leaving room for the aftermarket and to be...
Thus the reason Winders and T-cats came with a 1" track, and the 1.5/1.6 is the perfect trail track. There is hardly a trail rider around that won't trade 3-5mph off the top end to get more power to the snow from 0-60mph in most conditions.
I open my sled up on a well ridden lake probably...
Every riders conditions are different. But I would say when I went to a 1.6" track my odometer started counting miles more similar to my GPS. And speed was more accurate. I can only assume it was due to less track spin. Seat of the pants feel agreed. Amazing improvement in loose snow and...
If you think you want a bit more track like an Attak, go 2011+ and get the XTX. Along with EPS, better exhaust setup, a bit more power, the tip-railed 144 is amazing. I cannot blow about it more.
I would have to say I have full trust in camso pre-studded products. Over 7000 miles on my ice cobra before swapping it last fall with another one.
Plenty of studs were ground off, but no noticeable pull outs, or fly outs. Not saying it cannot happen, but nothing I would worry about at all...
Exactly. I'm glad you agree. As stated, it depends on what Deere is looking to buy. If you buy a product line and dealer network, it would be very obvious that those legal obligations follow. But if Deere shuts down AC and buys the MFG facilities, it would be like they just plain went away...
And it all depends on what they want. They for sure are not buying it for the Dealer Network, as that has been shrinking since Textron bought them out. Other than the rebranding agreement Textron offroad had with Tracker for their SXS's. But I think that agreement may have been diminished as...
Deere buying anything from Textron, it would be for the Offroad dirt products that they farm out to other MFG's already. The sled line could go away easily. Maybe keep them up until they run out of parts and extra stock, but I would bet dollars it's for the dirt line.
I love the humble brag, I feel the pain. But it's a good problem to have if you love collecting "cylinders"
Biggest help for me was moving to as much EFI as possible, and fourstroke where possible. And the uber tiny engines get replaced with electric. Trimmers, chainsaw, Ice auger is next...
I think a clarification in terminology is needed here.
Dupont does not make sliders
Vespel is a patented brand of the insert material owned and made by Dupont. Manufacturers of sliders purchase the material for their MFG process. So anyone selling a slider with Vespel inserts is purchasing...
This engine will still be part of the engine supplier agreement in the NA form for the Wildcat XX. Which just so happens to be the same as the YXZ, so the engine will be produced plenty.
The Wildcat XX has been overdue for a revamp as well. Customers are begging for the 998T in that wildcat...
First and last ride of the season. Dropped at a friends shop to the SW of Paul Bunyan State Forest. Got in 44 miles before lunch at Spikes along HIghway 71.
That was as far West as I went. To the East the forest roads were amazing. Flat and fast! But there were enough gates closed that I could...
I wish I knew what the torque numbers were, but that is what we are getting with this bigger displacement. Those twin 1.8's in my boat are pushing a 4000lb boat/fuel/gear and 10 people up to 50mph. It would be a sick engine in a SXS for sure. Sort of like what Polaris has done with the 4...
I have two of the 180hp, 1.8ltr versions of this 1.9ltr motor. They are huge marine engines compared to our Apex'. It's a great upgrade in the lineup for sure.
We will see if Yamaha offers it in a supercharged version next fall, like they did with the 1.8.
I had no intentions of buying them, as I have spares of the actual duraflex that I spent good money on.
On that note, I have also lost the tips from the duraflex as well. Nothing assures them staying other than loctite, even on name brand scratchers.
Wow, nice design, and I just installed a new 1.6" Ice Cobra at the beginning of the "non season" But honestly, I like the deeper 1.6" lug and I cannot complain on how well it held up (11,000 miles)
All the years of the phazer never changed, so the process to maintain/service it have never changed.
The vector changed displacement, but the oil change procedure is the same for all of the three holers, it's just a matter of finding the filter location and it's access panel.
I noticed the Chinese have been reverse engineering everything. The nice Duraflex scratchers have been imitated now almost perfectly and sold on Amazon and Ebay. I suppose Temu as well. That is just a clearing house for all things reverse engineered. It blows me away how cheaply they can...
