I received a response from Iceage early this week which is posted below. He says to shave off the aluminum collar to get past the hyfax. Looks like I might have to do a little on the shaft also. I am going with his rails as the factory ones are too light for my use. I still think there is an...
I took it to a machine shop to press apart, they had fittings that reached in and pushed against the inner race for his press. It made a loud bang when the huge press did its job. Machinist said it was very tight. I offered him $20 for their coffee fund and he said something like '#$%&* #$%&*"...
Is there a way to press the bearing off the shaft to install loctite with out ruining the seal or bearing? My shaft was in about a millimeter and the bearing is moved in almost as much also. I pressed the bearing on the shaft further to see if it would move tighter and it did, but likely I need...
Holes for front shock shaft drilled in wrong spot, idler wheel mounts do not fit. They have not responded to my email asking what happens next, very dissapointed in this company.
Bought a puller to have a look, (bent my last one) came off easy. Looks like I didnt install the clutch with the proper torque and clutch was slipping on shaft. Can anyone let me know what they think about the bearing or stubshaft moving or any thing else they see?
The alarm goes off in the morning and the reverse light comes on when the valve is frozen closed. Nice. What is the best/easiest way to unfreeze it or avoid pressuring up the tank?
In the motorcycle world the forum crowd expressed concern my first bike in 30 years was too big and powerful for someone with little experience. I say pshaw. Go hard and be careful. And I hope you enjoy it in every way, which includes keeping it running properly. Good luck and have fun...
Use a ratchet strap from one foothold to the other run along the back edge of your fuel tank. Tap with a rubber mallet. May have to pry the studs in with a bigger screwdriver. Buy a couple long nuts and grind one half of each one down to a straw size so you can get the threads started through...
Pretty sure mine is pushed in also. I have 61mm offset. Was planning on shaving off 3mm from my secondary. Should I deal with the primary first or leave it alone and do the secondary? If I shave the secondary, do I need to shave the same amount off the spacer inside the secondary?
