I treated a 1/4 tank of fuel on my 2020 sidewinder before putting it away for the season, just like I've done with every sled before. We're off to a late season and we're just getting snow locally where I ride.
Sled took a few more tries to start but fired up. I noticed a low idle (800rpm)...
I’ve been putting the miles on the SW and playing with suspension adjustments to get it to my liking. As I was going over everything to see if I had any leaks or loose clamps again, I’ve noticed some weeping coming out of the top banjo fitting on the turbo.
I’ve bleed the coolant a few times...
Are these jump packs safe to use...JIC? Years ago I used this on a 450 outlander and it blew the ecm. I've read a couple post here talking about not disconnecting until the sled is actually shut off?
I've had my battery on a tender while cleaning up my 2020 ltx se...its new to me and has only 300 miles on it. When i bought it the PO told me he put in a new battery due to something always drawing on it...obviously a "stink eye" moment. Fast forward to today and as I was hooking up the...
Assembling stub shaft tomorrow...shaft is in the freezer. My question is how much green loctite do I apply to the surface of the outer bearing to housing?
I'm looking for new primary & secondary springs for my 20' LTX SE. I'm going to keep it stock for this short upcoming season in NH...nada for snow!
Running stock weights a helix. I've read some of MK's responses and just want to clarify if I'm going with the right Dalton springs...
I'm finally getting her back together! I lucked out and met a guy who locally owns his own shop and does vapor blasting and cerakoting. Big difference from when I started with all the salt corrosion. Basically bomb proofing her with a plethora of BOP.
I'm just about finished my tear down to install all the fixes and noticed a few things.
1. There is a crack on the inner chaincase, it had to be there from factory? Under 300 miles on this 2020, no signs of a hard kit from underneath? I know my xf7000 had a crack on the outer cover but not...
Long day but I just got back from my "new to me" 2020 LTX-SE. I cant say I wasn't uncomfortable carrying a big wad of cash and doing the purchase in a parking lot, but concealed carry was my phone a friend option.
The sled only has 261 miles and 20.4 hrs on it. It was sitting in a shed...no...
I finally joined the Sidewinder club and just purchased a 2020 Ltx Se with under 500 miles on it.
I'm reading through everything and would like some advice on what to look for as far as preventive maintenance, accessories, suspension settings for 260 lb rider and any other helpful tips.
I'm...
comes in 3's! My speedo pickup came unglued the other day...quick fix, now I'm stranded 50 miles from home..I thought my track started ratcheting but its the chaincase...I can limp along but anything with some throttle and it slips and grinds. It won't go into reverse either...ugh
I was riding yesterday and realized my speedometer was just reading zero? It's a 2014 xf7000 cross country sno pro with 7300 miles. Shes been running like a top and still is...any suggestions? I looked for anything obvious on the trail but haven't had time to really dig into it yet. A quick...
I was up in Canada for our annual trip this past week. We had above average temps and rain for 2 days, the the temps dropped back to normal. I was worried about the condensation issue on the relays. When I went out to start the sled in the morning, sure enough, it cycled through the typical...
Well, I had the skid apart and sent the shocks out for a revalve. I put the thing back together, bolted it in and adjusted the track. I just realized I left the shock covers off the shocks...rrrgggggg! Has anyone ran without them?
Can someone point me in the right direction for replacing the E brake pads for an 06' Apex RTX. My dealer could not find the pad replacement, the Micro Fiche only shows the entire assembly? I looked on Port Yamahas web site as well and can't seem to find the things. Someone posted a part #...
I know the seat jack is out there, but it cost more than I'd like to spend on something that will only be used occasionally. Has anyone seen these:

Last year in the Gaspe, My parking brake cable froze. being out in the middle of no-where, I had to run it. This year I went to replace just the pads and my dealer showed me the microfiche....you have to buy the whole damn assemble? Does anyone know where I can find just the pads?
I put in the ZX2 last season and held onto my mono skid..just in case. I'm going to sell the mono skid. It's off my 06' RTX, it has the BB spring as well as stock spring, 4th wheel kit and Hyfax saver wheels. What's a reasonable price for the entire skid? Pray for Snow!
