Anybody know if YES covers this?? Wondering if I take my sled to the dealer will they change to the updated bolt for free, or charge me if it's not broken?
Anybody try?
:yam:
Sorry I like my equipment clean and operational. I think its premature to assume that people that regularly clean their stuff dont maintain it. I should add that all of that gunk and goop that builds up under the hood attracts and retains water.
After spending upwords of $9000 on a machine...
I power wash the poop out of my 2009 XTX and never have had a problem. I too wash it while running and then let it run so the engine heat helps dry everything out. I havent used degreaser on it yet, but did on my old AC Crossfires without harm. Just dont get it on any of the exposed plastic...
I have one if you want it
I have a used sub frame in my garage if you want it. I rode up onto a rock out cropping 2 years ago in the Upper Penn of Michigan. The frame is not bent at all but the bottom, right tube is scrached-pushed in from rubbing on the rock.
I made an insurance claim...
Allen,
Since you are the expert, here is my problem. I ride 2-up with my wife from time to time (with seatjack). Im 275 plus my gear, my wife is 150 plus her gear. With the stock springs we are almost on the bottom.
What rate do you recommend to bring us up, but that won't be too...
I am ordering some OEM parts on line. Does anybody know the correct orientation for right and left. When refering to the right and left is it like your sitting on the machine or standing in front of it looking at it?
Thanks :rocks:
Thanks BigTime.
I was hoping to find a set up like the older 2-up's that had an extra set of torsion springs that were held in the "up position" (not in use) when riding solo. You could release them down and increase the spring tension when u were going to ride a passenger.
Because if I...
Anybody have any suggestions for heavier springs on the XTX? I ride the wife 2-up and am 260 + gear so we really squash the thing......
Thanks.
how to order
2guns,
You can't order online. It also took me awhile to figure that out. You have to call and place the order. I installed mine this week and the workmanship on the parts is excellent. Can't say if they really work cause I cant get the skid bolted back up by myself. It...
Hi guys.
I have a 2009 XTX with approximately 1000 miles. I'm doing some summer work on it and have noticed that when I push on the rear bumper and compress the skid, it sticks a good 5 inches down and I have to pull it back up. My buddy had the same situation with his (only 300 miles) so...
600 MILES IN THE U.P. IN 4 DAYS
Well guys I really got to break in the XTX. On Friday we rode from Munising to Houghton/ Hancock and stayed the night, then rode up to Copper Harbor the next day (Saturday) and boondocked the whole area. On Sunday we rode down to Mass City then Back to...
Once again you guys are coming through. Thanks so much for all of the info. I guess I'll start with the rivits like justinator suggested. It will be a good summer project.
Thanks again! :yam:
Im not ready to do the rivit thing, plus I dont want to mess with possibily voiding my warranty. Is that what the reason is Justinator? not enough weight engaging the clutch? Anyone have any other input?
Thanks....
First off, THANK YOU.... This is the most amazing maching I have ever ridden. I still cant believe the suspension, and I havent even attempted to dial it in yet. I just set all of the clickers on medium. All I have ever owned is Artcic cat, most recently a 2006 Crossfire 700. I use to to...
