    500 mile service

Thanks, that is the info I was looking for. I typically do all my own work on my sleds & have yet to see a dealer do better work than I can do myself. When it's your own you tend to pay attention to all the little things, or if you don't, then you probably should have the dealer work on your sled.

C&A Razor Skis Make Newer Apex Handle Excellent

Did you try curves on EPS Apex as well? I just put a set on & really like them a lot.

    500 mile service

Does the dealer have to perform to not void your warranty? really don't feel like paying them $200+ for an oil change if I don't have to..............but I have YES extended warranty and don't want any chance of messing that up. If I am able to service myself, anyone know how to reset the...

2014 Apex XTX rear torsion springs

I agree with Crows. If my 2012 xtx were my primary ride, I would do the spring & shock work, but I'm probably 250+ in gear. The Star without shock work is a great set up for my wife, and a really good one for me. Just a bit soft when things get really rough for me.

2014 Apex XTX rear torsion springs

The Star Suspension Kit will soften it up for her. My wife weighs exactly the same as yours. I put the kit in, big difference for her and I like it better as well (although just a bit soft for me), I'm 230.

WRP +2 Apex seat kit review

Really satisfied with the WRP on my 2012 XTX. Did they have different foam compounds for earlier seats?

Getting an Apex Xtx. ...any advice? ?

Yep Caveman, you and I went much of the same route. I am on a brand new 2012 XTX this year. It makes a really, really good sled a great sled -Star Suspension Kit (haven't done the shocks yet) Many say this is the single biggest improvement you can do the rear suspension on an XTX. I agree...

Has anyone had a chance to compare the apex to the cat turbo, power, handling etc.? Thanks

I had a turbo Apex. It was way more of a maintenance nightmare than any of my Cats. Any turbo - tuned up sled is a potential maintenance nightmare, but for reliability I would never go the Turbo Apex route again. If you are talking racing on a track with controlled environment and controlled...

Has anyone had a chance to compare the apex to the cat turbo, power, handling etc.? Thanks

I own both. A 2012 Apex XTX. and A procross turbo that has the power turned up, with many other upgrades to suspension and chassis. The Apex is really fast and refined. Love the power steering. For long distance, I ride the apex as I know it will always work and again is a nice trail...

    Ohlins EC Rear shock

I was just curios if the shock eye to eye measurement and the spring was close. I found a really good deal on an Ohlins shock, & thought it might be an interesting project/adaption/experiment. Yes, I would have to adapt controls and gauge. Snowless winter has me bored. lol

    Ohlins EC Rear shock

I know these were designed for an 06-10. Will these work on an 11 & up? Anyone know if it will fit on an XTX?

    2011+ handwarmers

I am now setting up my new 2012 XTX. Did Yamaha finally upgrade the handwarmers on the newer Apex's so they actually keep your hands warm? On my older Apex & Nytro's, I upgraded to Yamaheaters. Is this needed on newer EPS models?

Apex XTX Star Suspension - revisited

So from what I can see, to do this properly it is more of a $550 mod when you combine the shocks and kit. Anyone just do the $300 kit without doing the shocks? If so, what was your impression of that versus stock?

Apex XTX Star Suspension - revisited

Yeah, my mistake on that one. He did say re-spring the center shock. Robert's assistant did tell me to that they make alterations to both shocks and that I should send center and (i believe front) in when doing the kit. I will talk to Robert and verify before sending shocks to him.

Apex XTX Star Suspension - revisited

I know this has been discussed several different times & I found a lot of comments through search. I am just making plans for off-season set-up on my 2012 XTX that I recently added to the stable. Looking for any opinions from guys that have their own experience with Star Suspension. I weigh...

    Apex Risers

Great info Dave! It looks like a +4" is the way to go for me. Lake effect 1 piece is the way to go?

    Apex Risers

Thanks for the feedback. You are correct, going 2" higher over stock on my XTX seat. If you are 6"2" (me as well), you may want to think about that. Right now on ebay, you can get the full WRP 2" kit for about $200. When you get used to your legs being in more of an attack position, it is...

    Apex Risers

My search did not yield any certain answers on this one, so I thought I would throw it out for those that have done this: I recently purchased a 2012 Apex XTX. I am used to a more upright riding position on my Cat Procross turbo, so I want to maintain those ergonomics. Going to do the WRP...
