Probably talked about a lot, but here is my two cents. I've been riding in Quebec for over twenty years. The trails are mixed depending where you ride. Nearer the center and south of the province, trails are more twisty and undulating from peaks to valleys, farm fields etc. As you head north they become high speed super highways and are very exhilarating. I have ridden with the stock skis on my 05 Rx 1, 07 Nitro and 2011 Apex with eps. I dealt with it, but basically they sucked. After changing my Rx 1 skis to Curves I was very impressed.
On my Nitro they made a great difference and settled the front end down for most conditions in the mid Quebec areas. My RX 1 improved as well. But as you push the sled to higher speeds and or move to faster more northern areas they tended to exhibit some high siding; predictable but with some of what I call push hopping as well making you work substantially vs. some ski doo sleds I have noticed. I just figured that was they want they were and rode on. My ex snow crosser friend, and owner of an 800 XRS, suggested C&A Razors for my newer Apex. Wow! What a difference. No matter the conditions and especially in the north on higher speed trails. They are flatter, respond instantly, do not dart and are extremely predictable. Going into a high speed turn, when you think you are going to have to totally hang off the sled to make turn, they just stick with no pushing or hopping and rail the corners.Maybe it's the eps that matches well with the design but it just works period. So for anyone thinking about these skis they are awesome imho and should be on your newer Apex.

I like to run shaper bars 6" minium. I have ridden with Curves on Apexs. Ran well. Not knocking them at all. They are are great ski. I will keep them on my RX 1. But all condiitons considered, on my newer Apex these skis just worked extremely well running easy and when pushed to the sled's linits. Machine is studded, I believe just 120 or whatever the window pattern allowed down the middle with woody's gold diggers and Studboy plastic backers. Hope this helps.
