    Good Bye

Well after 7 years of owning a Sidewinder I'm moving on. I bought my sled new in the fall of 2017 and never had a issue ever. I followed the advise given freely here and had nothing but happy trails. I'm getting older and the weight of the sled is just a bit much for me. I bought a VR1 because...

    Knockout kit

If this grease refilling becomes part of the seasonal maintenance procedure. I still think it a good deal. The small amount of time, to take apart and grease is time well worth the final results in my opinion. Once we get some miles on the kit .Time will tell if its the real deal or not.

    Knockout kit

Would the temp at which the grease will melt not be an important factor as well as the impact , working pressure, and shear resistance. It would appear to me since from stock there is no grease. The only thing that would matter is the grease we put in stays in place for as long as possible. But...

So I'm not taking it apart and we'll report what happens as time goes by But for you guys who have not installed your kit. Now...

    Knockout kit

I believe the winder uses a dry sump oiling system. I only saw a oil film when mine was apart. But I'm sure smarter guys then me will chime in.

Well installed the Knockout kit and started my sled up today. All I can say, if it last. This is the best money I have spend on my sled ever!

    Knockout kit

Well I will answer this myself. On my 2017 RTX the kit went on no problem. After I figured out that the stub shaft only fits one way. As one spline is slightly different.

    Knockout kit

I ordered this kit today. But the web site at TD makes reference to some 2017 Sidewinder's use a different shaft that this kit will not work with. Does anybody know how to tell the difference without tearing it down?

Mach Z not stock king of the lake.

I want to inform you the comment in regards to everyone complaining about stock winder performance is wrong. I ran mine the first year stock and loved it. So please get you facts straight before posting. And I detect some anger in your last couple post. Are you OK???

Mach Z not stock king of the lake.

Well you are a very lucky individual. I would definitely be very proud of that achievement. As most Ski Doo's can not. You made the right choice in getting rid of you Sidewinder, as it is most defiantly a DOG!

    Your Macgyver special

I have a four wheel axle and forgot to tighten the axle after tensioning the track. One hour into a ride I saw I was missing the outside wheel. Luckily I saw a gas station and was able to find a bolt. I removed the remaining wheel on the other side and did the rest of my 5 day ,1300 kilometer...

2022 Sidewinder ltx eps - getting rid of push

I run the aggressive on Cat ski's and have not seen the issue some of the other posters are speaking of. I love them, and they have made my Sidewinder a much more pleasant ride. I also bought the stiffer center spring and have taken a lot of weight off the ski's.

    Rear shock removal question

I'm getting older and it's a big job for me to remove the rear suspension now. I want to rebuild the shock's, and my question is can I remove the rear shock in the suspension while the suspension is in the sled? I was able to find the answer that you can remove the center shock while still in...
