Thanks!
Hey thanks for the reply!! I know a few guy's with MCX 270kits one runs 17 pounds on 100LL at 2000'. The other 15psi at 2000' on 91. Both are stock motors with headshims and no meth.
I have never tried to run over 12psi at 2000' with my kit, but I now have some new weights that...
Boost-it
Check out NM's Boost-IT on SW. Lots of guy's switching over to it from various brands including me if my wife would let me.. I have the RB3.. Too hard to tune on the hill
Nytro with PL kit, headshim, on stock motor with water/meth. What fuel and boost do you run, and at what elevation.
I have run up to 17psi on premium pump at 7000'
What could I safely run at 2000'?
Thanks for your help.
Are you sure your rising rate regulator is working? Like you I installed a returning fuel system this year and after installing have the same problem. I just took my fuel reg apart and now the gain is back as the boost comes on (perhaps a sticky diaphram, not really sure) Worth a look...
Update
After further testing with extra guages and a new regulated supply i found the regulator only putting out 1:1 instead of 2:1 at idle when pressure was applied. I also found the fuel pressure to slightly drop off as i brought the rpm/boost up on a jack stand (although its really hard to...
Does your regulator sense from a line common to your boost guage? Ie are you certain the regulator see's boost? When I connected my reg to shop air it worked fine..
Could have the same problem. Mine runs lean now too, but of course if the regulator doesn't increase fuel pressure as the boost comes on problem found now how to correct. To get by for the day I added 12points of fuel to the map and that brought me down to 12.2:1.
Do you have the...
I recently installed a bung into the fuel injection rail on my Nytro in effort to make it a returning system like the apex. I took the sled out today and now my rising rate regulator no longer increases fuel pressure as the boost comes on. To troubleshoot I pulled off the sensing line from the...
Return system
What did you find? I just installed a hurricane return system on my sled. Haven't run it yet other then idling in the shop. My fuel pressure stayed right where it was when I brought it in.
Fuel pressure
I've got the fuel pressure turned down to 40psi and it still has a 10.5 AFR WOT @ 12 psi 1500ft elevation. Any less and it doesant idle very good, and leans out on the trail.
As for the backfiring mine really pops under high vacuum (engine is holding sled back while comming...
I recently upgraded my stock Nytro injectors to daves hi-flow green ones. My sled worked ok with the stockers but at home (1500) 10 psi was max before the AFR would creep over the 12's. Now with the 3 bar sensor and Mike O'Brien map loaded I find my AFR is down in the 10.5's at WOT (1500ft @12...
