I know this thread is OLD, but I'm thinking on doing the same thing. Is the rear heat exchanger needed? Looks like a $500 part these days. Trying to decide between this and a 137 r motion
That mileage is with multiple full throttle pulls and fast trail riding, usually 50-60 mph consistently. Maybe I focus on making it roll better, DuPont slides etc
Wondering if anyone has noticed an increase in fuel mileage as claimed for to lower trail rpm. I'm currently getting around 14-15mpg and would love to increase it a bit for longer range. With the smaller tank on the 2011 the further I can squeeze from a tank the better
The solution was a loose and corroded connector, the pink one coming off the ECU at the clutch side of the airbox. Wanted to post the solution for anyone needing info later!
Thanks for the suggestion, I'll check it out. Where is the ECU connection for this? I'm terrible with electronics, but plenty well versed in mechanical
Finally getting to doing some testing on these warmers as the season ended early last year and is just now getting underway. I swapped my switch for his and they still don't respond. The thumb warmer works but when cycling the key it shows the handwarmers being set all the way low and the gauge...
I like the looks of it and the concept, but it appears it wouldn't fit my 2011 apex with the 2.86 pitch. And the price is STEEP! Maybe both of those things will change in time. It isn't on the tracks usa site yet and they are always cheaper than the msrp listed
My father in laws apex handwarmer switch has seemed to fail. The grips still warm but the rocker switch wont adjust them. Anyone had this happen before? Wondering where to start. We did check for corrosion and the connector and it seems fine. Thanks!
