Ok I have had the sled two winters now. It had 5200 miles when I got it now has 7000. what a grate sled first yamaha came from a cat F7. It has many mods they are listed below and now want to do more, thinking shock should be next. I dont have lots of cash so it is nice to know that even...
I was told that my apex has a fuel check valve bolted to the gas tank. Have not looked yet is this the case. Sled idles great when cold but sucks when it warms up to temp. thought that if valve was not working right that it may cause this problem.
idels great when its cool but when warm it wont idel at all. Just put knew dounts on this year aand is not giving me any codes. It all so pops some when riding down the trail. :yam:
this is only winter 2 for me and yamaha always had cats befor. The sled had 6250 miles on origanl donuts plus plugs. I still like cat but yamaha is way better.
I realize I am still new to the apex, but I just put new donuts in and new plugs and what a change. It seems to have much more power than last year can the blow buy on the donuts have that much effect on power. The new plugs may have some effect as well.

I went with copper donuts just had to back off the Y pipe bolts and they slid back just the right amount to get the flex pipes out. I also used the same engine gasket. The job went really well even though it was my first time thanks to this TY 4 stroke.
