I was told that my apex has a fuel check valve bolted to the gas tank. Have not looked yet is this the case. Sled idles great when cold but sucks when it warms up to temp. thought that if valve was not working right that it may cause this problem.

a quick thing to check is that the boots that connect the intake to the airbox.
i installed mine once with one of the boots not connected properly(kinked) and it ran like you are saying yours runs
