With the help from Aarron and Harold at Excell Motorsports. The problem was the plastic washer on the end of the trottle shaft was stuck to the metal clip. If the washer cannot rotate on the shaft it will activate the TORS. Thanks All for the help..
The sled has no power with key on. The corrosion I am not sure why?? sprayed the motor and electrical system before storing in garage. I cannot help it that the snow has not fell in my area since 2010.. I guess I will take it back to the dealer I bought it from. Sucks they are 3 hrs away..
Well...
Been awhile and I am not a happy Yamaha Nytro Owner at the moment. Sled as been dormant pretty much two years now. 09 FX no power and very bad corrosion all over under all that insulation and plastic to my surprise?? I bought a new battery and no power still. I have checked fuses and very short...
Ask Ulmer they know. If you want check with a torgue wrench before you take the clutch apart. Remove the belt. Very easy procedure, 8mm, 10 mm sockets, 2.5 mm allen wrench. 8mm wrench and lock tight I use blue. May have forgot one tool. Good luck and you will like it.
Frt shocks medium settings, rear spring 1 turn down, front limit all the way up, medium setting in rear spring torsion bars? Center shock with adjustment screw all the way soft. Anything I miss ? Thanks :yam:
Not a problem let me check and get right back with adjustment settings. The sled was pushing bad. Two people I talked too said get the USI skis off and put the factory skis back on with doolie carbides?
Need some help again guys.
Yamaha riders,
Our club was ice drag racing Saturday. Had a great weekend again in Wisconsin. Traction and handling was a issue for sure. Most all sleds were spinning from take off. My sled ran 3 passes @ 1000 feet 93,94,94. The speedo said different from the radar...
Very Impressed with the bolt on's
Made it back in one piece from 420 miles in 3 days of riding. Couple missed corners with no studs yet was very lucky. My biggest mistake with these bolt on's was running 87 octane fuel. Never thought about the fuel :o| Went to 93 octane and the sled gained a...
Header, clutch and power commander installed. The sled runs totally different. Lot smoother throttle response, power band as changed. Could not open it up tonight for top end but I know its better. Thanks to Excell Motorsports for the service. I need to decide if I should stud it or not. I am...
My parts should be here tomorrow. Anything I need to know? Nobody has replied with advice. With all this snow coming I might have to wait. How many studs are people running? I ordered 144 but would like to try 96 if it works? Anything special with the rivets or clutch I should know about? Thanks...
My order has been filled  After installing my Excell wheel kit and gaining mph, no burning plastic smell. Thanks Aaron. I have ordered the Excell header, power commander, 144 stud kit and stage 1 clutch kit. Hopefully these are easy bolt on's? Already saw I will need to drill out rivets...
I have a set I have taken off after 50 miles because I purchased the excell kit. I know the marginal Yamaha wheel kit helped, they are cheaper, I used red loctite when installing them and I never lost them but very few miles. I have that set I will sell you if interested for $50.00 plus...
Well I have road 175 miles since my first service. I still hear more chain/ gear whine then I like to hear? The sled is so quiet I hear everything else going on. Since I installed the Excell wheel kit I no longer smell burning plastic. I smell the clutch belt burning after a 110 mph road run...
