I switched to a 900R this season. There are things I like better on the Lynx, and things I liked better on my Sidewinder. One thing is clear though. The 900R engine does not hold a candle to my Tuned 998 engine. The best performance analogy I can come up with is, the 998T is like having a 3/4...

It will be interesting to see what they come up with. Textron also use an N/A version of the 998 in the Wildcat XX. If the marriage with Yamaha is over, they will be looking for a power plant for that too.

I hated the original itc throttle on the 900T. I don’t mind the throttle on my 900R. The 998 throttle is still better though.

There is very little difference in the way the 146 feels compared to the 137. I certainly wouldn’t let it keep me from buying one.

If I were riding quebec all the time, I would probably be running a sidewinder ltx le or SRX with Max Spool 16. And I ride a 900R currently.

What are you looking to do with the sled and what kind of trails do you ride?

Congratulations on the new sled. I would imagine there will be more goodbyes with Yamaha exiting the business. I switched to a Lynx this season. I like just about everything better on the sled, but I do miss the power and speed of my tuned Sidewinder.

Our local dealer got allocated 12 machines. They sold them all the first afternoon.

Probably because BRP’s color and graphics department is the lamest in the industry. The trail sleds are the same color year after year, and the graphics are extremely basic. The G5 Doo is ugly as #*$&@ too. 9 years later, and the 2025 Yamaha’s will still be some of the sharpest sleds on snow.

Our local polaris dealers have a ton of inventory. Boost, 9r, 850, Dynamix, VR1, XCR, and Assault models only available as spring order sleds at premium prices was probably the correct choice.

We will find out tomorrow. IMO, that looks a lot like the 2019 SRX.

It is a shame the XTX doesn’t have EPS. The riot is the easy choice here.

I personally think the r-motion X robs these sleds of speeds. That skid is a piss poor design for acceleration and speed. My wife rides a 2019 900T adrenaline with the original R motion skid. Granted, she is 130lbs with gear on, but she has clocked 113 on her GPS on groomed trail with her stock...

They never should have taken orders out of the dealers hands to begin with. The whole online ordering system has been a fail since its inception. I hope everyone who wants a 2025 Yamaha is able to get one. Trying to order a 2023 or 2024 was frustrating.

I was at the local Cat dealer today. It stinks there ordering will likely be closed by the time Yamaha opens up. I have always liked the Yamaha colors better, but our local Cat dealer is very good.
