Same problem
I had the same problem when i took it out of storage last year, i noticed pale pink hydraulic fluid on the clicker dial and a stream inside my track. I fought with Yamaha because they said it was normal. I'm a mechanic, leaking shocks are not normal. Eventually i removed the shock...
I bought my sled at Ottawa Yamaha. They were one of the best i have dealt with when buying recreational products. They have moved to a new location and i believe changed the name of the store so it doesn't help you much, sorry. On the other hand, Banville yamaha here in Petawawa has to be the...
Backcountry track
I just got a quote from tracks Canada. Here is the price, Camoplast Backcountry 144x15x1.75 in 2.52 pitch sells for $699.99 + $35.00 gst = $734.99 plus Canada post shipping to Ontario would be $52.50. Best price i found in Canada so far.
sliders
Does your track need to be fully clipped to run the dupont sliders? I'm still running the stock ripsaw with a track clip every third and wondered if the duponts would work. Thanks.
Thanks guys. I ordered a 2" powermadd riser so i'm going to start there and if it is still too short ill have to get extensions. I don't ride standing much but i figure the 2" riser and stock handlebar clamp will equal 3" from the steering plate.
I was wondering if anyone knew what size riser block i can install without having to use cable extensions,etc....? I looked at the cables and wiring a think i might be able to get a 4" riser. I have a 2010 nytro xtx with the flat steering post. I was looking at powermadd from royal distributing...
I'm still trying to decide on the C & A XTX or MTX ski. I was also looking around for a set of simmons gen 3 but royal distributing doesn't carry them anymore and another company i tried just said that the company was a joke to deal with, not sure exactly what it meant but oh well.
Tunnel protectors
I was thinking of removing the tunnel protectors as well but I'm still not 100% sure. I don't have studs or ever plan on studding the track. After every ride last year i had to get underneath with a broomstick chipping all the ice away. Do the tunnel protectors really...
I just bought a 2010 XTX last year but didn't get alot of seat time because i was away most of the winter. After the first ride i purchased a set of aggressive snow trackers, huge difference. I also raised the limiter strap two holes but thinking i may start over this year and try to set it up...
Thanks for the input. I contacted a company here in Ontario that claim to stock them. I told them i wanted a set of Gen 3's and the reply i got back was "the company is a joke". I been searching a few companies from the USA and i can get a set to my door for $466 cdn including regular dual...
I have been wondering the same. I can't find many user reviews on them online. I think for trail riding they would be pretty good because of the dual keel design. It would eliminate darting and the width would help for when you hit the powder. I'm probably going to pick a pair up and see how...
Just wondering if anyone is using the gen 2 or gen 3 simmons flexi ski. I'm picking up a pair but unsure of which ones i should get. I do 50% off trail and want to prevent plowing but i also don't want it to look i have two canoes strapped to the spindles. Any input good or bad would be appreciated.
