    '03 RX-1M TURBO for $6500

I just ran across this on craigslist, thought I'd post if anyone was interested: http://spokane.craigslist.org/rvs/568665035.html Wish I had some cash burning a hole in my pocket...

    M7 Skid Q....again

Frosty, I just got off the phone with Jonny, we're a go for Trestle Creek if that sounds good to you. I'm looking forward to meeting you and putting a face to the "Frosty". I just hope I don't hold you guys up too much.

    M7 Skid Q....again

I want to offer a public thank you to Jonny. He swapped out his 162 Maverick for a CE and sold me the Mav. I finished the install over the weekend, much happier with the fit-the track actually has some slack in it now! The install was pretty simple once I figured the steps out. I got out...

Handlebar-Riser Selection With Rider Forward Mod

I have a question regarding the 153 skid/162 track combination I'm wondering if someone has some thoughts on. On our sleds a 162 track doesn't look particularly long, on a RMK, Cat or Doo a 162 seems much longer. Someone else commented that a 162 RX has less track on the ground than these...

phazer mtn. vs mountain max 700

IMO it depends on what you want to do. If you want to be the fastest across the lake or down a smooth trail the Phazer isn't going to do it. But for a sled with a great ride and handling, along with reliability, I don't think you could do much better, especially for the price. I rode a...

    M7 Skid Q....again

Makes sense with the suspension differences. If you're working on yours over the weekend how about giving me a call-I'd like to see just what's involved in doing the rider forward. Thats on the plate for next year, along with undertunnel exhaust and lightweight battery.

    M7 Skid Q....again

Man, it was snowing pretty good here, we got maybe 2 inches...then quit. Was hoping to go buzz around the field for a while. Jonny, we'll have to get together and go play this winter! I'm hoping there is enough snow north of Sandpoint for a shakedown ride this weekend. Thanks for all the...

    Question about scratchers...

Thanks for all the input you guys. Sounds like I'll be fine, and a couple pounds lighter to boot. Dang, I can't wait for snow!!!

    M7 Skid Q....again

Here's a couple pics of the install...let me know if you see anything off please. I compared with your pic and with my old ones, nothing stands out as far as an assembly error.

    M7 Skid Q....again

I remembered seeing that issue mentioned enough in previous posts, I was pretty careful to get it in properly. It was tight with just the front mount in, I had to attach the front arm, then install the tensioner axle and finally the rear suspension mounts. I'll double check this in the morning...

    Question about scratchers...

I installed my scratchers yesterday according to the Holtz directions. I did as they say with the M7 skid, removed the idlers and cut the idler bracket to use as a spacer. Was hurrying and not thinking things through, really wish I'd left the idlers and added the scratchers behind them. Just...

    M7 Skid Q....again

OK, so the 153 rails are really too long for a 159 track, just wrestled the track tensioner/rear axle into place, was a major pain. So just how tight is too tight, to the point that it will break things? Under finger pressrue I get around 1 inch deflection. I'm sure the track will stretch in...

    M7 Skid Q....again

Aaron, I sent you the dxf file. Got the skid installed tonight, looking good with respect to the mounts. I need to install the rear axle/track tensioner. I really wish I had a 162 track, the 153 rails are snug with the 159, but it looks like it will work. Should have it wrapped up...

Hi Aaron, PM me with your email address and I'll send it to you. I wasn't able to attach a .dxf to a PM. Bri

    M7 Skid Q....again

Well, I picked up the plates from the water jetter Friday after work and made a run to Harbor Freight for some transfer punches. Sunday I went to work transfering and drilling holes. The whole project went very well, nothing to it. The CAD layout worked out very well, the holes I put in were...

Aaron's tricked out sled is back in RX-1 Mountain fold!

Frosty, it's good to hear that someone around here bought that sled, Aaron had it looking really nice. Brian

Anybody try MPI transfer enhancement kit in 03 skid?

I put it on my '01 Mountain Max, helped the front end come up on plane better in deep stuff. I also found it helped on very rough, ungroomed trails. On badly beaten trails with lots of close moguls, the coupled suspension wants to "slap" when you go over mogels fairly slowly, beats you up and...

    M7 Skid Q....again

Here's the CAD image of the template. I went with 4 1/2 below the cooler (line on the part). The little tab on the left side is in line with the straight on the right side, it's just for fixturing and laying out rivet and screw holes, and gives something to locate off of if I put it in a brake...

    M7 Skid Q....again

I have been taking measurements from the MPI bracket and remodeling the profile in my CAD system for a check. I want to revise a few things and send the file out for waterjetting. How far did you drop your bracket below your tunnel, or more specifically your running board coolers (easiest to...

    M7 Skid Q....again

Thanks Jonny. I'm trying to get some pics as I go along, maybe I can post a step by step if anyone is interested. I got the Holtz kit in, piece of cake. Also pulled the old skid yesterday, man that M7 sure is a bunch lighter than the Yammie skid. Bri
