I put a barkers on mine. I am not sure if it added much if any hp, since i did a few other modifications at the same time. It has a throatier sound. Make sure you get the silencer though for trail riding. I have passed through many police checks with no problems. Without the silencer it is...
First off i had the dealer change out the clutch, it was burning the belt at idle and not engageing until 5000 rpm sometimes, 1 in 3. Now with the new clutch it is burning belt again and having problems from fwd to reverse and back. It also doesnt like climbing small hills from a standstill when...
Going with moosemans idea, until the end of the season. Got a 5/16 shouldered bolt, same size diameter as threads on original. Stops tie rod bearing from moving around on the bolt too.
It is hard to see in the 2nd picture below but there is lots of room for the bolt to move around. It makes setting the skis almost impossible.
I was thinking of attaching plates above and below (not sure how i am going to do this yet) and drilling the proper size holes in them then just using a...
I have the barker exhaust with quiet core. It is extremely loud without the quiet core. It is only slightly louder than stock with the core but way better sound. I have noticed a bit of power gain since i put it on, and it is a lot lighter
I have changed the shield above the flexi pipe, and dont know how it will hold up (heat shield from royal distributing). I wrapped the pipe with black moose wrap, started the machine up and quite a bit of grayish smoke started billowing out from under the gas tank area. Do exhausts wraps do this...
I had to get the front shocks rebuilt on my sled and after taking the bolts out the plastic bushings just started falling out in pieces. Has anyone had this happen or know of any aftermarket solutions? Dont want to put oem back in if they are just going to break. All but one half bushing is broken
Thanks for all the replies, i am going to put a new exhaust on (not sure which yet) at a later date... just got my sled out of storage and lots of work and $ to put into it without upgrades unfortunately
I am looking for a bit more power out of my sled this year. I ride trails 90% of the time and dont want to get hassled. Any suggestions?
Also is the barker slip on exhaust the only one that is hidden?
Thanks
