Thinking about a trip out to West Yellowstone to ride. Anyone have any advice or recommendations? Probably going to be next year. Not sure if we want to drive and take sleds or fly and rent. Rent a cabin or stay in hotel? What are your thoughts? Thanks

That is a good idea. I happened to find used shield that has the fiberglass intact from a 07 last night on ebay for $17 bucks and free shipping. I figured for 17 bucks it's worth a shot. I'm going to have to tear my sled apart now an check it on mine as well. Thanks for the tip.

The heat shield on my dads sled has completely failed and fallen down. I've been reading threads all night about the failing heat shields around the exhaust manifold and I can't decide what to do. It sounds like some people think that the stick on stuff from the auto store will be fine but...

I don't remember unplugging anything but I'll double check them this morning. I'm heading out to the store now to get a new voltmeter and then I'll check the fuses continuity and go from there.

Are you sure its not just the fan on the radiator spinning down? When I went from the 07 Phazer without the fan it caught me off guard when I heard that fan on the 09. Just a thought...
