Dog hair is a good deterrent also. I have a Saint Bernard we just brush him and wrap the hair in a rubber band and place in the machines being stored. Works great
I like my viper only had one issue with a hose clamp being damaged from the factory was leaking coolant replaced it and it's fine now. Can't comment on power as I turboed mine before I even rode it. Had to play with the suspension to get it where I want but that's any machine. All I can say is...
It's the one that runs between the fill spout and the thermostat. There's another thread on here with pictures. Same spot as the other guys just mine the clamp was damaged
after noticing the coolant leak some have been talking about I decided to check mine over also. Mine was loose but it was from over tightening. I was able to turn the clamp freely so that I could reach it with a 1/4 inch bit. When I went to tighten it the worm screw would just spin so I removed...
I've never had a problem with powermadd's and cold hands. Not saying it's not possible everyone is different. I also wear claw style gloves or my shooter gloves ( paw with index finger separate )
I ordered mine not to long ago. Talked to someone at woodys they had me order the 1.575 mega bites. Installed them a few days ago and they are correct size for the track which I found odd as the track is supposed to be a 1.6
I didn't spring order my sled so I don't know anything about the warranty you got but when I went with the hurricane kit I got a one year engine warranty with it and a one year chassis warranty through yamaha which equals the same as with the mpi kit. By going with the hurricane kit I saved...
I'm more worried about what type of oil is being put in the machine Before it gets to me for the break in have seen some people saying that it comes with synthetic and others saying semi. Personally when I do rebuilds both two and four stroke I've always used conventional ( Dino) but now I'm...
thought I would start a thread just to see what other people are doing for break in. Personally I'm a conventional guy with the beat it in method of break in. I always thought synthetic won't seat the rings properly and have never had a problem with this method
Higher rpm bursts build pressure to seat the rings properly. I think there's a right up floating around on here. But things change I could be wrong that's just the way I've been doing it. Think it's motoman that talks about it
Not to many cars on the road that rev around 9 grand either. Not trying to start anything maybe it's just the old school method but I've always broken in with conventional
