    Stuck?

Yes that is Cooke City a few years back. That was a near new SRX which was far from new by the end of the week. The guys first (and last) time in the moutains. He hit a rock within 30 minutes of unloading, bent a trailing arm, radious rod, trailing arm rear mount. We patched together with...

?s on installing longer track/tunnel ext. kit

Hey Jim....I think I would pull them off just to have clear access for the rivet gun when installing the new extension. I don't know what extension you are going to use but most I've seen come with a pretty good instruction sheet. ;)!

    How to replace sheaves?

The stationary (inner) sheave is threaded onto the spider assembly with left hand threads. You need a holder and grunt tool to disassemble it. The groove is normal on a used clutch as that is where engagement happens. The biggest thing is to look closely for heat cracks in the sheaves.

?s on installing longer track/tunnel ext. kit

No need to remove the drop brackets to add a tunnel extension but you will need the seat, bumper, and all the rear plastic off.

    Been there?

The mine is across the valley to the left (North I believe) from the trail leading up to Daisy. From your picture I think it is directly below that structure about 1,500 feet with a 1 inch cable running between them. The horizontal mine shaft was still open last time I was there. The electrical...

    2" Riser Question

2" tipped somewhat forward works well for trail riding and yes it will put your hands up in the wind. You will also want a longer throttle cable, I use a stock Yamaha Mountain RX cable which is about 3 inches longer. :yam:

If Yamaha ceased production of sleds...What would you buy?

I guess when I think about it the real reason my sled says Yamaha on the hood is because Boss, Expert, Fabcraft, V-Force, Holtzman, Mountain Performance, Hartman, Bender, White Lightning, Camoplast, Digitron, Rox, Fly, Simmons, Hauck, Wahl, and TotallYamaha won't all fit.

If Yamaha ceased production of sleds...What would you buy?

I'd buy used Yamahas....actually I still have the last three new Yammies I bought with a combined mileage of over 20,000. Last winter I put more miles on my 1997 151" Mountain Max than I did on my RX-1. :yam:

Market Share Versus NET / Profit

Market Share and Profit are not directly related. A company can have 100% market share and still not be profitable because of poor pricing strategy, poor cost and overhead control, extended warehousing time, or simply a change in the market of consumers who are willing and able to buy at the...

    Installing handlebar hook?

Do NOT cut the end of the grip off, you will ruin the warmer element. Simply enlarge the hole in the end of the grip enough to push the small diameter part of the hook through and into the bar.

Cat bars on RX1, will grip warmers work??

Several guys are using Cat bars with Cat grips. I believe both are two wires to the grip. You can easily check the resistance of the Yamaha grip compared to the Cat grip with an Ohm meter, and you should find similiar resistance through the grip windings. Cat uses the toggle with a resistor to...

    Track ?

I'm thinking the 16" would be the better choice of the two. You'd get the additional floation and have very similiar amout of total paddle in the snow. Of course you would also have to change or alter the rear drop plates to accommodate the 16" wide.
