Because of the lenght of time between disassembly and assembly, I have a left over 'large' washer that can't find his home. I have the drawings, but I believe they're not showing something.
If you're familiar with the jackshaft and the side of it that goes in the upper chaincase.......there's a groove in the shaft that a small circlip fits in. In order, what comes after that? Is it the collar with the o-ring inside? Or is there a large washer that butts up against the circlip, then the collar? Basically, I have two washers: One goes on the outer side of the upper gear and locks against the nut that holds the upper gear on. The other one is the 'unknown one'. They're not quite the same size, and only one will fit all the way against that circlip described above...the other's to small to go over the taper on the jackshaft.
Any clue? Just a bit of info, the smaller washer was stuck (because of oil) to one side of the upper gear, while the other 'larger washer' was under that locking nut to tighten against the gear. I'm lost.
Anyone?
Also, how does one tighten the locking nut on the jackshaft collar update? Another question: That locking collar and nut thread together very easily with the nut facing one direction, but gets difficult when about four threads have been passed. However, it looks as if the extension on the nut rides right against the bearing, and if that's the case, the collar has difficulty threading into it immediately. The actual nut has some sort of locking grooves in it on one side........which side goes towards the jackshaft bearing?
I believe that's all for now.
Thanks,
Jon

Blue,
Thanks, but I have this drawing. The problem is, no drawing shows the actual jackshaft that labels the circlip and what goes after that. If you notice in this drawing, it begins (for the upper chaincase) with #37 (small oil seal). What I need is just to the right of that (towards the secondary).

I believe the parts you are looking at can be found under the brake section of the microfiche. There are some washers and a snap ring located on the jackshaft next to the brake rotor.

I appreciate everyone's input. I do, however, have the washers and clip for the brake area. I simply need to know the exact order of the two or three items between the circlip on the jackshaft behind the upper gear. From what I can gather, I'm thinking it goes: circlip, washer, collar/with o-ring, chaincase....
