i have used the pilot 6.9s and they handle very well. i was thinking about running duallys on center ski and single on outer ski anyone try this set up. i have run the woody slim jims on the skis previously
I have looked over the throttle cable and end play and nothing looks out of place. I did notice at the thumb throttle there is no end play. I believe there should be at least 1/8 " gap or play. I remember setting my old yamaha throttle so it would move roughly 1/8" or so before the cable became...
I just got back from a 150 mile ride and it is still doing it from time to time. Today I noticed code 84 alarm flash when it cut out. Is this the Tors causing this
I was wondering if anyone experienced their engine cutting out under throttle. I was cruising at 40 mph and it felt like I ran out of gas. I pulled over and as soon as engine was at idle it was like nothing was wrong. This happened several times throughout the 120 mile trip. The engine runs...
I did the draw test myself and with the flasher unplugged it was 00 and plugged in after light stopped flashing it was at .13ma . My battery has held at 12.72 volts for 3 days with the flasher unplugged. So now I know that my 3 dead batteries were caused by the flasher even in sleep mode
Ok now that I've learned that the flasher was the cause of 3 dead batteries I will unplug it now. I also noticed with the key off the battery registers 12.72 volts and with the sled running it registers 11.60 or so. In my experience with autos that latter number would be over 14 volts when...
I tried to disconnect my flasher which in fact changed the amp reading from .77 to 0 and I then checked the millivolts across the ignition fuse which was 00. this seemed to be the draw issue like you said. I did plug the flasher back in and it went to .77 again and the light on the flasher was...
I have asked dave from hurricane if the flasher would go into sleep mode and he said it would. I noticed the blinking light go out on the flasher after a few minutes of turning the key off so I'm assuming its in sleep mode.
I have put in 2 factory batteries and they both died and couldn't be saved. this all happened in the 1st year of owning my brand new 2018 sidewinder. I brought it in to shop so they could check the sled out to see if there was a draw causing the dead batteries and they found nothing. I then went...
imo the hurricane stub shaft did help quiet the clutch a good amount also dave from hurricane made the shaft to compensate for the offset ( I believe it is between 2 and 3 mm ) . this will eliminate the need to machine any material off the secondary clutch
I will check all these locations. I have tightened as many hose clamps as I can see and now I'm leaning towards water pump only because I see antifreeze on base of stub shaft. I only have 400 miles on sled so I'm hoping the housing is just loose.i did change out my stub shaft with the hurricane...
I know I asked this before but I'm hoping someone else has the same issue and a solution. I keep finding antifreeze drips on my frame under clutches. I can see a drip on my stub shaft housing but cannot see where it's coming from above. I tightened all hose clamps that I could see but still...
I noticed when I set the tensioner back to where it was the end of the tensioner bolt isn't contacting the assembly that holds the tensioner wheel. This sled only has roughly 400 miles on it. So does this adjuster just keep the chain from slapping around or should the bolt actually be touching...
I removed the tensioner and tack welded the screws on the roller. I put the tensioner back in and put the adjuster back where it was but it looks loose. what is the correct tension on the chain
I was wondering if anyone was using amsoil severe gear 75-90 synthetic oil on their sidewinders? if not then what is the best chaincase lube to use? Thanks mike
