I have also noticed in on EPS. I wonder if a delayed relay for the trigger wire would fix this.

Have you tried to crank the track tighter and run it for 100 miles?

I have always done this. I pull brake pads, squeeze lever to the bar and hold lever tight to bar with reusable Zip-Tie, split the caliper, do all the track replacement, shaft replacement and so on. I may loose a drip or 2, I top off after reassembly , 1 or 2 squeezes of the lever and its back to...

You may be SOL. It may come back but it could be a long time. It would need some heat to help it shrink back.

If its old gas, most likely wont fire unless you get the pilots cleaned. And to do that you will need to pull the carbs. Draining will not help all that much if the new gas cant get to where its needed.

you should be fine. I have glued them back together in a punch with Yama-bond and held up for long time. You should not have that much pressure if the case is vented normally without restriction.

try a different ignition switch. I have seen them corroded and acting like this.

When I had my Viper Turbo few years back, we tossed the gems and went to the PC5-PTI version. Worked great!!
