    Ohlins Monoshock Wiring

Got the new plug today, wired it up and it just seemed too easy. Started the sled and of course no shock icon from the mode button. Checked resistance and it was open so I must have broken a wire. Ordered a new solenoid from bop but the question is in the even I don't get it installed before an...

    Dies at idle

Changed plugs last year, probably 800 miles since then. It's just weird that it clears up and is then fine for a few days. Seems like something electronic.

    Dies at idle

Yes, usually a full tank with some seafoam in it.

    Dies at idle

'18 winder will not idle. Won't start unless you Crack the throttle while cranking and then it will start but you need throttle input to keep it running. Did the same thing last year first ride of the year, probably -20f out. Today it's high teens. Last year it cleaned up after awhile and was...

Exactly what I needed, thanks so much!

    Ohlins Monoshock Wiring

Can anyone take a picture of the monoshock wiring connection on the shock side where it plugs into the sled? I was prepping my skid to put it back in tonight and flipped it over dropping one of the hyfax on the shock connector breaking it into roughly 10 million pieces. I think I found the...

    Jackshaft Bearing Orientation

Yup, got the new parts yesterday and exactly the case, the collar was worn about .040. I guess i will try some loctite on the collar in addition to it being a lock nut.

    Jackshaft Bearing Orientation

Yeah, i thought the same thing but i put it on the shaft and it still slid in half way. I'm thinking it spun in the race and machined itself down. I will look at the diameters once i get the new part. $70 for a bearing and collar.

    Jackshaft Bearing Orientation

Everything except why mine doesnt fit flush. It actually goes about 1/2 of the depth past flush into the race. I ordered a new bearing and collar, i'm guessing that will fix it.

    Jackshaft bearing grease/change

Don't be scared of the chain case, pretty easy as long as you pay attention to where the spacers are. A couple things to note- -The 10mm bolt in the middle of the case needs to come out, when you reinstall make sure to loctite. -There is a torx screw in the spacer behind the brake rotor, make...

    Jackshaft Bearing Orientation

Doing the preseason on my apex and noticed the jackshaft bearing collar nut was loose. Tore it down and something doesnt seem right. Logic tells me that with the tapered sleeve the larger id portion of the race should go out toward the secondary, but when i do that the sleeve fits halfway into...

Stripped Oil Drain Hole in Block

Thanks, much appreciated. It looks like there may be enough room to just lift it without removing the steering gate, hopefully that works. If not glad to hear its only a few hours. Is there any adjustment that i need to pay attention to when i pull it? Concentric bolts or anything for clutch...

    Name That Part

Thanks Travis. I'm not the one with the broken steering arm but I see the post you are referencing. What purpose does this serve? Is it replacing a cotter pin or something? I didn't see it on the microfiche so just trying to understand exactly where it goes and what its purpose is. Thanks!

Found this laying in my belly pan. Any ideas?

Barn find , where do I start

I would take a good look at bearings, especially the driveshaft clutch side and idlers. Those seals usually let some water in and that may have been sitting and rusting. You may be good with such low miles but I would definitely spin the idlers and pull the shield off of the driveshaft bearing...

Stripped Oil Drain Hole in Block

The more I look at it i'm worried about a couple things - getting shavings in the engine and getting the hole drilled and tapped straight. Since a new sump is only $80 I think the best bet is just to replace it. Looks like a couple options at this point, drill out the rivets on the bottom pan...

Stripped Oil Drain Hole in Block

I don't see any available for m10. I'm thinking im going to have to drill and tap to either 7/16 or m12. Anyone replace the sump on an apex? Looks like i can get at some of the bolts, how hard is it to get to the others?

Stripped Oil Drain Hole in Block

Anyone have any experience in fixing a stripped engine oil drain plug? The threads in the aluminum completely pulled out. This is the plug on the bottom of the engine, not the oil tank.

    Top Wheel Removal Shop Press

First time working on a slide action and trying to get the top wheels off. I see all the threads about using a puller but how do they press them on/off at the dealer? Does the shaft slide through so I could just put it on my press and press the shaft out of the bearing each way?

Looking for a brand new Apex

Yeah, saw that one and thats what gave me a little hope. Nelsons doesnt have it anymore. Figured it was a long shot but between that and the 18' sidewinders that im seeing still in stock i hoped there was still something out there.
