Going on a bagger trip soon and need to carry cloths etc. I already have the Yamaha luggage bag in the back. I want to place my back pack between my legs and cinch it down, but it would cover the gas cap on my 2011 Apex. Is covering the gas cap going to be a problem?? (besides taking off the...
I went to the Big East Snowmobile show looking for a helmet. Tried on the CKX mission prototype and was not impressed. Seemed low quality to me compared to other helmets I tried on. There were no production models available yet so the helmet would be sent to your home when available...
Looking into buying NY GPS maps for a Garmin 2797. Have done some research and found the below things.
GPSTrail Masters maps compatability with Garmin 2797 is not good. It states that it does not properly display trip log and route line on top of trails.
VV mapping does not have NY maps,

Just purchased a 2015 Triton clamshell and I want to protect the axle before it gets too rusty. What does everyone use on the axle to protect it from the salt/sand etc? Does anyone coat the aluminum beams underneath the trailer? If so what do you use?
Probably sounds a little funky but I cut up a old garbage can (the ones with the wheels on it that are heavy duty) and used that. I did paint it to match the salt shield so it did not look toooo bad. My buddy also used some thiner plywood and painted it and that worked fine also. These...
I had a open trailer with the aluminum drive off salt shields and had the same problem as you. I ended up screwing some plastic onto the aluminum adding an extra 19-23" to the salt shield to protect the sleds better. It still got road splash towards the back of the sleds but it kept the fronts...
Thanks for all the replies. From the feedback that I received I am opting for the 2011 with the normal mono suspension. Only has 1900 miles on it and it is in great shape. Hopefully a huge upgrade in ride over my 05 Warrior. Thanks again
Looking to upgrade from a 2005 Warrior and have settled on a 2011 Apex. (Would like power steering and EXup) Is the mega float shock a better ride than the normal mono? Which one is better in the bumps? Which is going to give me less problems? Just looking for opinions as I have not ridden...
I might have a deal on a tilt bed trailer enclosure to put on my open drive on drive off trailer. Will it be easy to convert the enclosure so it will work on a drive on drive off trailer?? Can I purchase the lift mechanism for the enclosure to make it work on my drive on/off trailer? It is a...
Used the Cabots Austrailian Timber oil a few weeks ago. It is beading up with any rain we have had. Time will be the real test.........
Thanks for the input
My son has a supercharged 2012 Nytro (Mpi) and that is just balls to the wall, I have never ridden anything as fast as that, tears me up from the get go to 100 mph PLUS.. I always tell him I could get him in 1/4 mile....Good luck he is in a different zip code?????????
I agree superfan75, owned it for 10 years and every time I have punched it I smile in my helmet, pulls like a mule ..............Pretty nice sled IMO. I know there are faster but really not chasing that.......
The last few years I have been thinking about trading and getting a newer sled as my Warrior is now 11 years old. (I've had it since 06) Everyone says they are heavy , have a poor suspension, push in corners etc etc but it always brings a smile to my face when I punch it and hear that motor...
