    Reverse chain

Regarding your leak, you may want to consider this superseded seal as the better option. It is @.026" thicker than original. I replaced my 2015 viper seal with this and have eliminated the slow leak issue.

    Coolant Temperature

That is a normal acceptable range. If the temps start going higher towards 200 or more, it would probably be caused from idling too long or insufficient cooling. Scratchers can/will bring the temps back down quickly. I run with scratchers on every sled.

Can someone help confirm these 2 "noises" are normal?

Was the color of your chaincase seal the original black seal? If so you may want to get the superseded thicker seal (red) for a replacement. My leak was noticeable on my trailer floor and I was concerned that once the chaincase oil warmed up from riding that it would leak even faster. After...

    GPS Tracker question

I've been using the SPOT Trace for the last 5 years and it works fine. It gives me peace of mind knowing that I can easily locate where my trailer is. There is an annual fee charged for the service. If the wheels on your trailer have enough room to slip a chain through them, it's one more piece...

New gasket needed for changing chain case oil?

You might be able to re-use your original seal if you haven't had any leaks from your chaincase. My chaincase developed a leak so I replaced it with the newer superseded part number. Part # 8JP-G7558-02 It is thicker and I now have zero leaks. Here's a link for that info...

    Rail coil type scratchers

I'm always searching for some good "reversible" ice scratchers that don't break after one season and have effective downward pressure. I currently have the type you're interested in on my XTX. They have only been in use for one season but seem to be holding up. Another brand I have installed on...

    Oil Leak 2015 Viper

I believe the torque was 120 in/lbs. or 12 ft/lbs. if you prefer. I kept the torque the same with the new seal and have had no problems. The screws are a lot harder to remove than they are to replace due to the blue loctite and some of the locations are a pain to get at. Clean the case real well...

    Oil Leak 2015 Viper

If you're taking the chaincase apart, be sure to replace the seal with the superseded version. Part number 8JPG7558-02. It is red in color and @ .026" thicker. My 2015 Viper leaked at the chaincase and this replacement cured the issue.

    Riding Alone & GPS Communication

"Spot" is another manufacturer of this type of product. They also have a variety of other products to choose from and all require a subscription. I use the Spot "trace" personal asset tracker as a security measure against theft. I cannot send an SOS with this particular device, but I know where...

First time stranded in 19 years

I had an older 2s do this awhile back. It would start and run fine one day, and then do nothing the next. I was constantly checking for spark with various results. After switching out different components from other sleds with nothing making it better, I removed the stator. It was bad. Purchased...

    Heated visor plug location

I believe there is an accessory plug located very near the reverse actuator/chaincase. Lower right side where your right foot would normally be.

    windshield frosting up

Ooops, my apologies for posting in the wrong forum. My wife’s sled is a RS Venture and I ride my Viper so I’m always interested in both forums, hence the mix up. Sooooo, the windshield fogging thing, she gets that also and we’re also thinking that Rain-x might help that. The windshield bag does...

    windshield frosting up

I have read on here somewhere that due to the lack of heat from the LED, that it can cause your headlight to start fogging up. You may want to consider that before spending your money. Just a thought.

    Sno trackers on Tuner 2's

I just purchased the aggressive Snow Trackers from a vendor on E-bay for my 2017 Viper X-TX SE I asked about the semi-aggressive Snow Trackers and was informed that the aggressive is the only one made for the Tuner skis. I should get them within a week and hopefully install them in time for an...

    Attempting my first oil change!

Tip for the day. Be sure you removed the old rubber o-ring when changing your oil filter prior to installing your new one. I heard it makes a god awful mess if you miss that detail. I don't know why I know this. :hide: Lol Welcome to TY.
