I have replaced the seal on mine. First you have to seperate the lower a-arm from the knuckle and pry the axles from the diff., unbolt the diff. and pop the driveshaft boot off,then the shaft slips right out of the diff. Not a bad job and saves you big bucks. :Rockon:

Scott, I had the same noise at idle in neutral and the noise went away once the clutch engaged. The one-way bearing and clutch housing and wet clutch carrier had to be replaced. The machined surfaces had cupping marks on them. Works fine now. Did the work myself.Cost was around $500.00. Good...

Thanks for the info.Thought it might be the sensor. I'll have to take it out and check it. Has anyone had trouble with or replaced the thermostat?

Pads may be glazed. Try sanding the shine off the pads and bevel the edges a little. Works most of the time.

660 grizz overheats (temp light on) but the cooling fan cycles on and off. I thought it should stay on steady as long as the temp light is on. Any thoughts?

Put all new parts in it,seems ok now. No noise. Still don't know what caused the parts to wear out so early. Have to put some miles on it and see if it's ok then. :Rockon:

I have a cycle-country 60" plow on my Kodiak 400 and it works great.It is 7 years old and no problem with it. I use a winch to lift it and the cable gets fraid and will break at times. Baught the plow new with my Kodiak at the dealer. Warn makes a synthedic rope for their winch. Don't know how...

Mine also backfires after a long run at higher speeds.Doesn't do it very often. Could be from muffler loading up with fuel. So when your air filter starts plugging up that would make sense.

Have a 2005 grizzly 660 with 1700 miles and the one-way bearing and clutch housing and clutch carrier assembly are worn. It was noisy at ilde and went away when clutch engaged. Does anyone know what makes these parts wear out with so few miles? I keep up the maintenance very well and change oil...
