Ripping around for the last couple of weeks I have noticed that I back fire here and there. It is quite spottie but it happens. Any Ideas?

Could be a little lean or even a little fat causing that.

The more my air filter accumulates the more it pops out the exhaust. When it pops 5 or 6 times on a ride it's time to clean the filter.

My filters are clean and mine started back firing this weekend on a mud run ...and when I put it in dif lock and go to give it... it sort of bucks then goes like hell...... ???

4 strokes act the same in both conditions thats what make them tough to figure out... can tap off the intake air and see if that help or makes it worse.

I've got one that now likes to backfire on shutdown but I haven't taken the time to look into it yet. Dusty air filter maybe?

I would clean filter 1st...easiest thing to try.

Mine also backfires after a long run at higher speeds.Doesn't do it very often. Could be from muffler loading up with fuel. So when your air filter starts plugging up that would make sense.
