I have a small clear hose, as I put into tank and hold thumb over end while Dipping. Remove hose and lift thumb when wanting to release gas for fire starter. Works well and no risk of having rag fall into your tank. But rags can be compact and easy to store. What ever works for you as long as...
If you go to my post on the venture MP forum, I have pictures of doing this type of oil change. First time I ever did the filter, and this way was easy. I just figured there had to be a better way.
Lots of good info on here to help with your decision. I know I am confident that I will be able to get enough information off this site to do all my own repairs and not use a dealer for the life the machine.
8200 KMS will be mostly the wear and tear parts . All depends on how well it was...
I guess if that you swapped out injectors, that would rule them out? I would think some fuel would be present with a throttle body system?
Can you get in there and unplug a plug or injector while it’s running poorly? Looking for a change?
So hard to say when you don’t have the machine in front of you?
Fuel pressure to injectors? Fuel pump weak? Suction screen/filter plugged? Fuel pressure regulator? Air leaks on intake components?
I have not studied the fuel system on this machine so just throwing things out there.
Run a can of seafoam through intake? I’m not a big fan of engine fix from a can....but have heard it does work to clean internally or free up Gummed parts or sensors.
Also could a blocked/restricted exhaust/muffler be an issue? Or highly unlikely? Just throwing ideas out there.
I’m very satisfied with mine as it does what it is designed for. Very comfortable ride and excellent low end torque. Even had some guys that ride bigger 4 strokes take it for a spin and we’re surprised with the off the line torque.
Only downfall I have with it is the noisy tunnel and exhaust...
I decided to build a heavy pintel hitch. Used old T-hook and cut to fit. Made a simple spring loaded clasp. Welded both style of hitches on a plate, then bolted in where old hitch fit. Now I feel confident with heavy loads. Can use either pintel or pin.
I’m thinking about building a very small compact portable propane stove/heater/ burner that could be put into engine compartment to warm engine if in remote area. I will never need it but I like a challenge! Lol .. it can be done and be safe as well.....don’t think it be too hard . No need for...
I went through side by removing one rivet on plastic cowl by suspension on my venture multi purpose. Easy to get filter then. Not sure if same as phaser? I have pictures in multi purpose section. Not sure how to direct or post it here?
Very true, I didn't buy a MP to play around. My playing involves, pulling, hauling. I need to be doing something.
Though Sometimes it's nice to jump on something more nimble to mix it up.
