Thank you for the advice it definitely came in handy on this one. I didn't think a gear puller would fit in there but after drilling out a few rivets I got the bottom panel out of the way enough to make it work
So I just finished up this evening. I picked up a gear puller and hit it with the impact. I had to sacrifice my socket to use against the shaft but it was worth it. I got a new rotor as that one got bent bad from pulling and a new bearing. I'm going to get out for a good ride tomorrow after that...
I'm close to Owen sound. If you had a picture even I could probably make something up to work. If I can't get it off I'll have to swallow my pride and take it in to the dealer. I don't want to admit defeat to a job that was planned to be an easy fix lol.
So trying to do some maintenance ahead for next season and so comes the joys of buying used toys. I doubt this bearing has ever been serviced based on how bad it is seized on. I've tried heat and prying to get the caliper off but nothing works. This is beginning to become a nightmare. Any ideas...
Well think I found a culprit. I pulled the sled in this morning to clean out the clutches and noticed one of the 10mm bolts that hold the spider together is missing. To top it off the hole is stripped. Can't imagine that's doing wonders for balance
I did the big venom upgrade in the fall and due to the lack of snow haven't really gotten an opportunity to do a good run until recently. I also did the barcode airbox mod and mbrp trail can. My 8jp belt seemed to pull slightly higher rpm but it went so I picked up a dayco xtx now. I can only...
I got my barcode kit installed last week and got a good ride in this weekend. It does definitely add some snap and my intake temps were consistently within 10 degrees of the outside temp. I was a little worried about the filter location in the deep powder but I put it to the test and had no...
I just bought my first 4 stroke this fall which happens to be the identical model to yours. Pretty much right away I ordered a thunder products clutch kit and love it. The air box mod is next. Just deciding if I want to buy a kit or do it myself.
Sorry in advance for yet another air box post haha. Just curious if many are running this setup and how it's working out? Any issues in deep snow? I can't find much info online but like the idea of outside air and the price is reasonable.
Good to hear. I have been starting mine all night and have to say the warm starts are alot better. Hopefully that first cold start was a fluke and glad to hear that the hanging idle may be normal
I took it in to get the updated ecu flash. I started it to unload and it took forever to fire up. Got it in the garage and reved it up to find out it has a hanging idle now. This is sad how they can't seem to perfect these things after this many years of issues
