This sled has had yamalube with oem filter since new. Drained the oil again and found a few more bronze chunks. I'll have the motor out this week for disassembly.

I've got no good ideas, unfortunately it was very fine and damn near impossible to identify anything on it. There were a few brass or bronze shavings too.

Yeeks that's nasty. I might reassemble and see what my pressure is at, would love to get through this season with it.

Oooh didn't even think of the oil tank screen. Shouldn't be, this sled was maintained pretty religously, but an easy check before I yank this motor.

Anyone have oil pressure issues? Oil light stays on and oil pressure takes forever to build on warm starts after sled sits for an hour or so. Swapped sensors to confirm actual reading and problem persists. Oil pressure seems to be about 12-1500 mmhg lower than other winders here at my shop. I...

Here's a picture of mine. 146 1.6 cobra. We've been playing off trail more and this was exactly what I needed. Rides smoother, transfers better.

Yamaha has a few 22's at the snocross races in eagle river. I noticed the chaincase doesn't have a sight glass anymore. Loved the looks of both the LE and SRX in person. I didn't like the srx at all in photos.

Rollers are actually good, I think the shadow makes it look funny too. They are nice and tight and no grooves or wear.

Doesn't sound like a very educated guess to me. I've had no problems with an identical set up on my other winder which has tripple the miles this set up has. Belt blew and moved the stub shaft bearing. I can't see a weight breaking causing the stub shaft to move

Yeah, something hit the secondary and took a good chunk out of it too.

Adding this to my "if tuned address it" list. Mine has been fine and has 11k. Wife's with 4k did this yesterday. Not a cheap way to end the season.

That's a tough call though because the SRX is the lake racer so one would hope they would keep the weight off it.... unless of course they are upping the power from factory.

I don't mind the Grey with a hint of blue. A little too much Grey I think though.
