Hey all, just curious if weights are a must if I was to ship me ECU out to TD/Precision for a 230HP tune? Both sites say that just the ECU flash is needed. Others I've spoke to say you need to do weights, too? What's your take on this? I know that these low HP add tunes are fairly safe, but...

I'm sure it could be, but with the q1 pins on the ECU not working I didn't want to spend the time and money taking it to the dealer only to have the same issues.

Tested with the spare ECU on Friday and it eliminated the problem. Found a working used one as a replacement and installed it with no issues. Sending the sled to the dealer tomorrow to update the replacement ECU to current but it looks as though its fixed. Thanks again for the help.

Had the sled apart tonight. Pulled the ignition coil sticks out, put the plugs in them, and turned the sled over. No spark on pto side cylinder. Tested orange wire in the ignition coil harness, and it had 12V. Tested other wire in the harness (grey/brown if i remember) down the to the ECU...

I actually haven't had it on longer than a couple of minutes. I was going to rip it around the yard for 15-20 minutes to see if anything changes. I can do that in the next day or two.

I'll test this today. The sled sounds fine, but I can't tell if it's normal as the header and aftermarket intake make the sled sound different than stock. I'm going to get a buddies ECU to test with, just to rule it out.

Hey, thanks for the reply. I'll pull the connections from the ECU tonight, and clean them up. I did the same, and cleaned up the harnesses to the ignition coils, but that's as far as I got last night. Thanks for confirming about the flash. Appreciate it.

I should also mention with respects to the P2300 that the sled sat for two years in an enclosed trailer. I've siphoned the old gas out, filled with 91 octane, replaced the plugs, went over each ignition coil stick for corrosion, and also put the coil sticks on a meter, and they were all within...
